[Black] Fits so snug around the c200. which makes me feel like that softbox is never falling off. I do appreciate that the clamp portion rotates around, so I can adjust the position of the light angle if I need to without having to completely rebuild it.

[Plastic] Was very impressed with the brightness and the options for this little light, especially for the price. Build quality seems great and have had no issues. Connecting to my phone was a little scary, because it was so easy, I'm not even sure how it did it! Love it and will most likely be buying additional lights.

[0.45 lb] Brighter than I expected and response time in turning off/on lights is immediate which is also a bonus. That and their size and light weight.


Truthfully, I didn't have many expectations for the price, but was originally disappointed in the lack of functionality and customization, but it turned out there are 2 apps for the Android: Weeylite and WeeyLitePro. Instructions said to download the former but it is very limited. WeeyLitePro (which is free) is much more intuitive and controllable with many more accurate presets. I also like the fact neither require you to create an account or divulge your location or any other non-necessary invasive permissions. The apps are simply provided so you can use the product which you already bought, so no ads either.

Looking forward to using these on-set and seeing if any other ways/aps I can control them so I can design my own presets on the fly as you can't do that with the existing apps that I can find so far, but clearly the units are capable of it.

[Plastic] I've worked with both the Astera and these SGC lights, and I recently bought the SGC 4 light kit. These grids are pretty much a must have accessory! I got two of them for the kit because generally the interview type work I do, that is all I need. They are a fraction of the cost of the Astera accessories, and if you were thinking you could even use most of the Astera accessories, you'd be wrong. The SGC tubes are about an inch longer and will not fit. So far, I am loving the SGC lights!

[Black] For a store brand, this box is very nice. It isn't the quality level of Chimera (made in the States and still the best) but in fact, the design of this is much better than the Chimera equivalent which is too shallow to be very useful. The eggcrate that goes with it is solid enough to use regularly on set and on the whole I couldn't be happier with it especially at a very good price point.

[0.45 lb] For the price, my expectations were not sky high. Also, they require an app to produce anything other than white light at 100%. I was a little skeptical and hesitant, but the price was low enough that I was willing to take a chance and bought two of them. I have never used lights that required an app before, and had never used any product from this company previously. My phone is an old Samsung that is rarely updated and the android app seamlessly downloaded and fired up. I was expecting to have to go through some long and ridiculous update cycle to get it to work. Wasn't the case.
I followed the instructions and turned on one of the lights, then turned on the app. The light was immediately recognized and I was able to operate all of the features via the app. I then turned on my second light, and this light was immediately recognized by the app also. I played around with app and was able to get the lights to do pretty much everything I wanted. Switching between the lights on the app was very simple.
I bought these to create the appearance of flashing police lights spilling onto two actors looking out a window. For that purpose, these lights will work. I am sure I will find many other uses for them and am very satisfied with this purchase.
