With an electro galvanized, cold rolled, coil steel and aluminum enclosure, the 22TB Blackbox PRO USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 External Hard Drivefrom 22TB Blackbox PRO USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 External Hard Driveis designed to protect your important data from the elements. Inside this rugged housing is a 22TB hard drive featuring USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity, making it simple to connect directly to Mac computers, as it comes preformatted HFS+. The drive is also compatible with Windows based computers; all that is needed is a quick reformat of the drive. Regardless of the operating system, the Blackbox PRO hard drive spins at 7200 rpm, supports a transfer rate of up to 260 MB/s to transfer even large files quickly and efficiently, and is also compatible with Thunderbolt 3 ports. For added peace of mind, Glyph offers limited 2-year level 1 data recovery, limited 1-year advanced replacement of the drive, and a limited 3-year hardware warranty. [ 3.5" HDD ] I use this external drive to backup my 8TB MacBook. It takes some time to make backups, but I'm sure it would take much longer with a slower RPM drive. Seems dependable. I love the rubberized shock protection case. 5

[Aluminum] High capacity external hard drive. Quick transfer of data + very quiet. Excellent rubber padding makes it a bit more bulky, but so much more secure, especially when traveling. Would certainly recommend to a friend. 5

[ 3.5" HDD ] I have a stack of Glyph 8TB drives that I use for video storage and editing off of my Macbook Pro. They never give me any trouble. Not the cheapest, but reliability is everything. I use 2 slightly slower WD 8TB drives for onsite and offsite backup of the Glyphs. 5

[Aluminum] Huge amount of space for not much $$$. Looks good and is MUCH quieter than the drive it replaces. Transfer speeds are as advertised. Ask me in a year or three... that will be the real test. 5

[ 3.5" HDD ] Need more storage and the old drives are just too small The Cupertino fruit vendor charges an arm and a leg for internal storage . The bigger the better on these Ill probably buy a back to back this up and store it at a relatives house just to safgaurd my work 5

[ 3.5" HDD ] I am a novice when it comes to all things Mac. So I contacted B&H customer service to ask questions about the different external drives. B&H has excellent customer service! The rep said to review the Glyph external drive. So glad he pointed this out to me as it's a great product. Glyph makes it easy to set up Time Machine, which is great for a novice like me. Also, prior to this purchase, I had a LaCie external drive for my Time Machine. It was very noisy. This Glyph is very quiet. I am very pleased with this purchase. 5
