The Cooke Macro/i Full-Frame 3-Lens Set (60/90/150mm, ARRI PL)is designed to cover full frame cinema camera sensors, enabling you to use it without vignetting on formats, including VistaVision, Super35, and smaller. This lens provides 1:1 macro focusing for extreme close-up work, and it is color-matched to other Cooke lenses to keep the well-known Cooke look. A cam-type focus mechanism and a large lens barrel diameter with 270° of rotation allow for precision focus pulls, especially at close focus.

The lens features a PL mount, which makes it compatible with most commonly used professional motion picture film and electronic cameras, and it has an aperture range of T2.5 to T22. The PL mount incorporates /i Technology contacts that feed lens information metadata to a compatible camera, including focus distance, aperture, and depth of field.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this kit have a flight case?

A: The Viltrox EPIC T2 1.33x Full-Frame Anamorphic 5-Lens Set (PL Mount) comes with two (2) cases, one which will hold the 25 and 100mm lenses, as well as one to hold the remaining 35, 50, and 75mm lenses.

Q: 2. Will these lenses cover open gate on a mini LF?

A: Yes, the Viltrox EPIC T2 1.33x Full-Frame Anamorphic 5-Lens Set (PL Mount) will cover Open Gate on the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF.

Q: 3. Will this lens work with (TTL) metering with SB700?

A: Yes, it will be ttl with the sb700.

Q: 4. The PL set seems to have a rear filter thread. Are there available rear filters for these from Viltrox? or known thread size?

A: Unfortunately, as of this writing, there are no available rear filters for the Viltrox EPIC T2 1.33x Full-Frame Anamorphic 3-Lens Set.

Q: 5. Would this work with the 90D?

A: Yes, The Sirui Jupiter 28-85mm T3.2 Full Frame Macro Cine Zoom Lens has an EF mount that is compatible with your Canon 90D. We also recommend using this lens with a baseplate and 15mm rods and lens support if used on a tripod. It is a heavy (5.5lbs) lens and could damage you cameras mount.

Q: 6. Is the lens mount user-changeable? IE if I later wanted to use this lens on a PL mount camera, would it be possible to switch out the lens mount?

A: The Sirui Jupiter 28-85mm T3.2 Full Frame Macro Cine Zoom Lens' (EF Mount) mount is not user-changeable.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the Mofage PL to L mount adapter?

A: B&H does not test compatibility of adapters with lenses. Because the BLAZAR LENS Remus 65mm T2.0 Full-Frame 1.5x Anamorphic Lens (ARRI PL, Amber Flare) has not yet been released, there has been no information made available on this subject.

Q: 8. Is there a version with lens data /i?

A: No, there is no version of the Viltrox EPIC T2 1.33x Full-Frame Anamorphic 3-Lens Set (PL Mount) with Cooke i lens data. Generally, budget cinema lenses will have no compatibility with the big names in cinema, regarding any electronic communication technology being integrated.

[T2.5] I just received this lens set TODAY so please take this all with a grain of salt. This is also being done without shimming so there may be a little bit of blurriness that normally wouldn't be there. I added 2.39 bars to help see what an end image may look like.

I really wanted to see the differences between the Great Joy Set and the Remus. I've uploaded some photos to help people choose.

Overall I think I may go with the Remus as they seem to actually sharpen up closely to the Great Joy's when opened to 2.8T. they also seem to actually have a little more color constancy between each other (However, I did my test on a cloudy day so the sun may have played a factor).

To play to the favor of the Great Joy set they are a little cleaner and I would say might be a better set of lenses for commercial style work where as the Remus set seem to lean into the Narrative a bit more.

Hope this is a little helpful! Both sets of lenses are totally worth the money.

[T2.5] very good balancing between clinical precision and anamorphic identify. I bought 2. Wish i bought the set at one time.

[82 mm] I purchased this for mounting my Angenieux 12-120 2.1 HEC to a RED Monstro. The adapter is really high quality, just what I would expect for the price. The locking mechanism is very sturdy as well. The lens focuses great on the body and overall is a great item.

I would definitely recommend this item to others.

[Full Frame] Love this lens! But I have it setup with the DJI Lidar RS as well and haven't used it on it's own outside of basic testing.

The lens itself is very nice - solid construction with a decent front loaded weight, and an easy enough to balance shimming system for mount swapping. The glass offers a lot of character with minor fringing and fairly low distortion, get it for that classic softer cine look and don't expect it to be the cleanest/sharpest lens around. I personally love how it rolls off the highlights and still gives details in the skin but also a bit of softness, when paired with my c70.

All that said, I bought this lens as part of a whole setup to solve a specifc problem, and for that purpose I couldn't be happier! I shoot mainly with a c70 in solo operating conditions as a b-cam op. This lens not only solves most of my focusing issues, but it also serves as the fastest setup with it's auto calibration feature when paired with DJI's Lidar RS. Now I get a decent jump in hitting focus while in auto via the Lidar mod, and I have the added benefit of more unique cine lens look vs my native Canon DSLR glass. It's awesome, and has performed perfectly for me so far! I only wish that they'd release a wider 21mm Cyber or maybe a 16 or 18 instead.

[60mm] Bought these to use with various cameras to get an anamorphic feel. I really like the look. They aren’t super sharp but fairly well built for the price, have a nice character and actually give a cinematic look. Maybe not 2 x character but for the price I love them.

[9] Love these lenses and the price

[Yes] Coming from spherical lenses - the price tag might seems high - especially for a relatively unknown brand. But it’s actually very affordable compared to the competition !
Anything cheaper for full frame will fake some of the characteristic of anamorphic lenses, and have no or very low squeeze. I wish it had a 2x squeeze - but the 1.8 squeeze probably allow to slightly more affordable price - while being optimal for 16:9 sensors, that are most likely what you’ll use it on...
Paired with a A7siii the image quality is amazing !
I recommend pairing this with a monitor that allow you to see the desqueezed image, as it can be fairly hard to focus without it, and framing as well can be challenging.
For an anamorphic lens, it’s very sharp, even wide open, I mostly shoot at T4 though mostly because it can be challenging to nail focus with this kind of lenses, as they’re slightly softer than spherical (not in a bad way, image is very pleasing), similar to using a light diffusion filter.
Overall, I totally recommend this lens, hopefully we see a 2x version soon too !
Also, if you’re in a limited budget, I would recommend the 40mm MFT version paired with a Blackmagic pocket 4K... the package would come to $4500 vs $12000... for a little more than 1/3 of the price, result is very close. The A7siii has an edge in low light obviously but if you’re using even minimal lighting (which you should), it shouldn’t be an issue. The blackmagic has the advantage of having a bigger screen - easier to manually focus without monitor.
Both are fantastic combos - and a lot cheaper than Cooke paired with an Alexa ...

[ARRI PL] I’ve had many of the affordable anamorphics that are out. They were all disappointing with their pinstripe flares. Pincushion distortion, and otherwise forgettable image.

These are not that! These have the character that one looks for in more expensive lenses like the Atlas Mercury’s. And in my experience with both, the Mercury’s and now owning the Remus’ I cannot imagine spending 10x the amount for the Atlas Mercury lenses when these exist.

These were one of the best and most surprising purchases I’ve ever made.

It’s clear that China is not messing around and are coming for blood, because these are killer!

[Full Frame] I am not really able to compare it to the others in the set yet… but it’s a safe bet this is the weakest of the 4 or 3if FF only. Partially just from to the focal length not conveying the look as strong as the wider lenses but also it really works best stopped down a tad…as it’s rather soft wide open. However I am def still very impressed by the overall quality and quality of these… they don’t feel cheap just small … shockingly small. The 100mm in PL is smaller than my RF 50mm f1.2! Impressed by this but it comes at the cost of some obvious chromatic aberrations… still for the money this is great and 1.5x may seem to enough squeeze the bokeh and flares look very anamorphic to my eyes shockingly so.
If you order just one maybe the 45mm 65mm or if your on smaller than 17mm high S35 sensors… get the 35mm . This lens great but don’t make it your only option.

[46.3 mm] There are so many budget cine lens options out there, but rarely do you get a reasonably priced EF mount cine lens with smooth gears, solid as a truck metal build, that goes up to T2 AND has macro capabilities. This whole series from Sirui is fantastic. I own the 50mm and the 35mm, got both of them on sales from B&H in like new condition, hundreds of dollars off an already great starting price. I'm just waiting for a sale on the 24mm. The resolution of the glass easily handles 6K or 8K sensors so you get crisp details in the in focus areas. I use it with a speed booster on the Red Komodo which opens it up even wider than T2! Crazy sharp in the center and softer and somewhat vintage as you move to the corners, but sharpens up across the frame above T4. The macro capabilities are awesome and the icing on the cake that I feel really sets this lens apart from Mieke, DZOFilm, and other budget cine series of lenses. My only complaint is that there are only 3 lenses in this set. Really hoping Sirui will release an 18 or 20mm along with a 70 or 85mm.
