Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Anyone knows the diameter (including the handle)? like approx 15mm or 20mm...etcThanks

A: Approx 16 mm including the handle. The screw head without the handle is approx. 11 mm.

Q: 2. I have a MEFoto tripod which uses an INDURO PU 50 Swiss Arca plate. Can I remove the current screw and replace with this D screw without damage to the plate or the camera?

A: I have done that with two plates. Works great. Screw easily removed and new one easily installed. Beats the heck out of that flat head screw. Mefoto should have used the D screw to begin with.

Q: 3. Will this screw fit the QR plate of the Manfrotto 410 head? If not, is there a D-RIng type screw that will fit it?

A: You will want the proprietary Manfrotto 1/4 screws.

Q: 4. Does this rubber lens hood fit on 82mm variable nd filter?

A: Yes it can.

Q: 5. Is this stainless steel?

A: If I'm not mistaken this screw is nickle plated -- maybe chrome but more likely nickle.

Q: 6. Hi All, Can anyone help me. I was wondering if anyone has used this with the MeFOTO PMU50 Quick-Release Plate? Will it work?

A: I bought these because the plates i bought didnt have the fold out ring to grasp to undo. These u dont need a penny to tighten or undo. For me its a no brainer. Extra cost but to me worth it.

Q: 7. Is there a longer version of this screw? I have a camera with recessed threads, and this screw (that came with my tripod) doesn't reach them.

A: This is a longer screw but if it is too long the camera might not fit well.

Q: 8. Would this fit on lens Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8?

A: Technically the Sensei 82mm Screw-on Tulip Lens Hood will fit the Tamron 24-70 lens. However, the original hood that came with the lens is designed to match the optics and would be the better option. Here is the original hood for the 24-70: https://bhpho.to/3OngUIi. If you have the G2 version it would be this hood: https://bhpho.to/2GiHFJJ

Q: 9. Almost ready to buy. Does the D ring fold down flat?

A: Yes it does. Additional info: Depending on how thick your quick release plate is...the non threaded portion may not be long enough to leave threads exposed to screw into your camera base

Q: 10. is this Reversible ?

A: it's not Reversible at all if you need to use it you need to keep it on the lens with no any Reversible also you cant add filters same time

[0.17 lb] I have bought a couple of these for different lenses, and they make adding and taking away filters very quick. During the Solar Eclipse, I'm glad I didn't have to unscrew the neutral density filter as totality started! I also use these with a polarizing filter, since I don't need that on continuously. Works fast and efficiently.

[Aluminum] It's a small thin adapter ring that gives Kase magnetic filters something to stick to. A warning, though: be sure the filters are fully stuck before letting go. The magnetic attraction isn't all that strong unless the filters are fully seated in the adapter. The ring is thin enough that lens shades can still slide over it without problems. It's a nice, convenient system that makes filter usage easy and quick.

[Aluminum] When I tried to use my magnetic filters on one of my lenses I realized they wouldn't fit (designed for 77mm). B&H had the adapter I needed at a great price and got it to me quickly. 100% satisfied.

[Aluminum] Adapters for every lens filter threads, so you're ready to go no matter which filter you choose. I have an adapter on each of my main lenses. No screwing and unscrewing to use the filters on different lenses.

[0.17 lb] Well built. The magnet is strong, and the ring is very thin.

[Aluminum] Have had only a few opportunities to use the filter so far but great image clarity and good color.

[82 mm] Now that I've gone magnetic, I don't use my m10 set very often.

[5 x 4.6 x 0.6"] It works perfectly with the Revolution filter system. It's easy to install, fits closer to the lens, and helps prevent vignetting on ultra-wide angle lenses.

[Aluminum] I had always been skeptical about magnetic filter adapters, some of the early ones popped off too easily. This Kase set, however, has a nice grip on filters and it takes some violent shaking to make it pop off.

Whereas I am still unlikely to equip all of my lenses with this for my frequently done daytime long exposures, I find this solution excellent for solar eclipses, where the filter needs to come off in a second and be popped back on in a second. Timing is everything on eclipses, and this takes the anxiety out of that filter change moment.

In fact, it emboldened me to try shooting with a polarizer during the eclipse, to catch polarized corona light, and I bought a second filter ring for that.

[82 mm] Love this Kase system. My widest lens is 82mm, so every lens I own has a Kase magnetic step-up ring and an 82mm lens cap. Adding filters or a polarizer is a matter of seconds - no fumbling, even with gloves on.
