The cost was too much for us, but the regular paper was too thin. So we have been using the universal heavyweight for years now and are happy with the print quality and the thickness/sturdiness of it. My printer the HP 800 wide format printer is supposed to be able to print on latex roll paper, but we don't and it would not make sense to do so because the inks don't last outside (the only permanent ink is the the black). I don't know if i can answer your question like an expert, just my experience with my printer.
