[67 mm (Front)] It's decently sharp, and fairly light for the aperture. The zoom range is great, and the AF is pretty fast. It focuses closes - almost macro. The bokeh is ok. On my A7Cr, the image stabilization of the body works quite well for hand-held shots at all focal-lengths. For the price, this is really a fantastic super-zoom. It surpasses expectations and performs well in a variety of situations. I wish it was a bit lighter, maybe as a trade-off for a slightly shorter zoom range. But all in all, this is perfect all-arounder.

[2.135 lb] I've rented this lens several times for vacations and was so pleased with its performance I decided to finally buy one. From the Orlando resort areas to the back country in Glacier National Park this lens delivered excellent image quality at the long end and outstanding sharpness, color and contrast in the normal and wide ranges. For the price it really is a no-brainer, just keep in mind there is no image stabilization so try to use higher shutter speeds on the long end. This is a perfect travel lens and paired with a fast 35mm or 40mm prime should be plenty for most enthusiasts.

[f/5.6] If I can travel with just my Tamron 28-200 f2.8-5.6 I'll have a 575g game changer. It's a fine telephoto. But can it capture nature closeups, for which my 795g Sony 70-200 Macro is ideal? Carrying the bigger lens adds the need for another wider lens in my bag.
Here's the answer: Yes! Sony a7Rv w/ Tamron 28-200 @ 56mm, f/16, ISO 320, 1/15 w/ camera on the ground and shutter delay, MF using blue peaking + focus mag. Note that the pine needles look as large as sticks. This lens was only $649 new when purchased from B&H. Game changer! I've owned it nearly a year and it's usefulness is growing on me.

[f/5.6] I had given up on super zoom lenses in the past, since the versatility was good, but the quality of the images seemed not so good. The image quality is not up to par with top-of-the-line prime lenses, it is good enough for most situations. I will be using it as a travel and walkaround lens, attached to my Sony A1.

[f/5.6] This is a pretty special lens which can create some impressive effects. But, it's not one for picking up and playing with straight away. Needs a bit of effort to understand how it works. I've been spoilt over the years by Fuji lenses which you can get going with straightaway. Definitely worth it though.

[12.3°] I shoot fashion & portraits at all distances and the results are very good. It's not the fastest on earth but at 200mm the bokeh is decent.
Its super versatility is the reason I love to work with it.

[Manual Focus] I love the lens. This lets me shoot my butterflies from not being on top of them. Pictures came out really clear!!
