Electro-harmonix Spruce Goose Overdrive Pedal

Electro-harmonix Spruce Goose Overdrive Pedal

$387.00 $526.32

With a circuit inspired by the iconic Marshall Bluesbreaker, the Spruce Goose from Electro-Harmonix is an overdrive pedal that will elevate your guitar tone to new heights. Retaining all the rich breakup, clarity, and dynamics of the original, the Spruce Goose injects enhanced gain output, expanded EQ controls, and a Lift switch with three gain settings, to send your tone flying.

Ideal for everything from meaty chords to soaring leads, Spruce Goose provides natural breakup and an amplike response from its circuitry. The active Bass knob lets you dial in the low-end response for added girth on single-coil guitars or tightening low frequencies on humbuckers, while Treble control lets you add bite or air to your tone. Separate Volume and Gain controls make it easy to set the perfect breakup without blowing your windows out. And with a mechanical relay true bypass, you get a direct input-to-output connection with zero effect on your signal, while two custom bypass settings let you either tap your effect off (latching) or hold it down (momentary) for temporary blasts of gain. The Spruce Goose includes a 9V battery.

Lift Goose's input signal before it hits the overdrive circuit. The mid position provides 9 dB of gain, which helps get more drive from low-output pickups. The high position provides 21 dB of gain, adding even more saturation and distortion. The low position does not provide any additional gain.

Unlike the pedal that inspired the Spruce Goose, you get two bands of EQ for superior tone control. The Treble knob acts as a high-end boost, providing an increasingly brighter signal as the knob is turned clockwise. The Bass knob offers boosting or attenuation with a flat response at noon, an increased bass presence when turned clockwise, and a cut bass response as it's turned counterclockwise.

The soft footswitch works both like a standard latching footswitch and a momentary footswitch. The latching action means each press and release of the footswitch will toggle between bypass and effect modes.

A momentary change between bypass and effect occurs when you press and hold the footswitch. The Spruce Goose changes state immediately upon pressing the footswitch. If you continue to hold the footswitch for more than half a second, it will return to the previous state when you release it. You can also disable the momentary function completely if desired.

Q: 4. can the F10 fresnel be used with the ES 15?

A: The Aputure Electro Storm CS15 RGB LED Monolight (US Plug) should be used with Aputure Motorized F14 Fresnel for Electro Storm CS15 and XT26 https://bhpho.to/3TYXfQF.

Q: 5. What is the difference in brightness if running on a 15amp plug compared to a 20 amp plug?

A: The Aputure Electro Storm CS15 RGB LED Monolight can be powered from some household circuits. [20 mA (Typical)] The Electro Harmonix Platform Compressor is a fantastic stereo compressor pedal that works quite well. It runs on a standard 9-volt pedal power supply that it comes with. I used three of them for a live techno set I was doing. I had a Roland TR-8, Roland TB-3, and Novation Circuit all synced and running together. I had Platform Compressors on the stereo out of each piece of gear and they worked perfectly. They were very reliable but I did have a user error once which I will mention so you can avoid it. The Swell knob got bumped and my attack times began fading in completely throwing off the timing of the TB-3. I couldn't figure out what happened till after my set. So be careful to not hit this knob mid performance. To remedy this possibility, I used electrical tape to hold my knob settings in place after this incident and never had this issue again. The Platform Compressor is fantastic for the money and for the functionality. Stereo compression has never been more convenient with the Platform Compressor.

[1x 9 V] Yes, this pedal is pretty cool! I particularly like the orchestra and choir voices, though the rest are interesting too. I got it, added it to my pedal board, and tried it out at a gig. Audience members were looking around trying to figure out where all the orchestral sounds were coming from. My bandmates thought it was hilarious that our scrappy garage band suddenly had this new big production sound.

[Gray] well, I have dozens of pedals, but this one still amazes me from the first day I bought it. spectacular slow down feature, selectable waveforms, 16-step sequencer, envelope, presets, tap tempo (along with tap-in port), expression support, tons of subdivisions... well, it just does everything, in STEREO, and still it's all analog. can be really as slow and as lighting-ring-mod-like fast as you want: the rate button works like a gear switch for precise adjustments. also, we all know EHX doesn't look good at times, but the visuals we got here are just awesome, sorts of retro spaceship with those leds on top (those don't only look nice, but also an important part of its UI). real candy to look at. there's only one con: the thing isn't small and won't fit small boards, but at least all the controls are visible, no hidden settings etc. Devs at EHX could make it smaller and even save some money on electronic parts, but it's big by design: both features and sounds wise.

[20 mA (Typical)] I got this pedal to replace a rack unit with 2 gates on it. I shopped around and figured at the price, this was worth a shot. This little guy takes up minimal space and holds it's own against much higher priced pedals. Weather you use pedals or an amp with an fx loop this is my top pick for you.

[Gray] Easy to get classic overdrive and muddy modern tones. Somewhat lead tones can be achieved by pushing mids with a tube overdrive pedal or eq. Great pedal overall.
