The white NuQ122-WH 2-Way 12" Full-Range Loudspeaker for Portable PA Applications from Turbosound is a switchable passive/bi-amp 1600W loudspeaker system ideally suited for a wide range of speech-and-music sound-reinforcement applications. The NuQ122-WH Loudspeaker is engineered to provide optimal performance for FOH, side-fill, and delay-line loudspeakers, and is an exceptional choice for wedge-monitoring applications.

The NuQ122-WH Loudspeaker features a 12" low-frequency driver with a low-mass voice coil for improved transient response, and an aluminum dome with 1" neodymium high-frequency compression driver mounted on a rotatable 100 x 60° (horizontal x vertical) dispersion-converging elliptical waveguide. All drivers are matched with an internal passive-crossover network in a reflex-loaded enclosure, and bi-amp mode can be enabled by means of a rear-panel switch. The rear-panel connector plate carries Neutrik speakON NL4 connectors for input and link connections to additional enclosures (sold separately).

Finished in a highly durable semi-matte white paint, the cabinet is constructed from 12mm birch plywood and is constructed with a rugged powder-coated perforated-steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. Multiple threaded rigging points are provided for suspension in any orientation, or for mounting with standard wall brackets. The NuQ122-WH Loudspeaker also features a 35mm socket for standard pole mounting, as well as integrated handles for convenient transport.

A: This is a passive speaker that requires an amp. The connectors on the back are screw-in Euroblock connections.

A: The Mackie Thrash212 12" 1300W Powered PA Loudspeaker System does not have an RCA input, so if your source has RCA output you will need to use an adapter cable terminating in either XLR or 1/4".

A: The Electro-Voice EVU2062/95 comes with a universal U-Bracket that allows for installation in horizontal or vertical configurations, and the ability to position the loudspeaker at any angle up to 330 of total rotation with the transformer kit accessory.

Q: 10. Is anyone using this with a full rock band (guitar, bass, drums, keys, multiple vocals) as your FOH PA system? If so, thoughts?

A: This unit could be used as a FOH speaker for a rock band. A mixer would be needed to accommodate the multiple inputs required for a full band, and that would feed into the speaker. The speaker could handled small to medium sized venues.

[9.4] I've been working in live professional audio for over 20 years. I can say hands down these units are the best (small/medium) PA. I work at a university and we own 2 of the 3000 and one of the 1000 units. These have served 90% of all our needs. Just last weekend I ran the pair of 3000 for about 350 in a ballroom for our new student orientation and ran them hard ( Hard House, EDM and Hip Hop. They have built in limiters that help protect the drivers, but I did not even have to run them to limit. The coverage / intelligibility were fantastic for spoken word. Great units for the price and I only need to take one trip in the van to move the whole PA. I will be ordering 2 more. Well done Turbosound for these fantastic units.good for Pro, church, or school. CON: Low end is lacking for our application, I would have prefered our pair of dual 18" subs, but the pair of 12" subs per side worked OK. 5

[9.4] I got these for my Home theater, I have 7.2 system and use these as my back high speakers. I wanted a clean look so I opted for ceiling mount speakers. I picked these because I’ve had a great experience with Tannoy speakers in the past, and they are directional. 5

[9.7] Purchased a pair of these with all custom bags. Replacing my 'standard' sound system of Mackie SWA 18"+ SRM 12" 2-way system. Absolutely loved using them and happy i upgraded. Operation: I clocked myself at 46 seconds to disassemble the entire column and put all components in the cases/bags including sub. I can carry the sub though its not very mobile friendly without dolly. Erects in similar amount of time and much easier on the eyes. Audio: Compared them with Bose, EV, RCF, and Fender. Out of the group the RCF was the best sounding overall. The Turbosounds sounded better than the rest but the dual 12" sub did outperform the single sub on the RCF 12, at least for me. Aesthetically it was nicer than the RCF but the EV evolve looked the nicest and was the easiest to transport. Would highly recommend. Happy to have joined the Turbosound family. 5
