Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is the foam padding removable?

Q: 2. What is the width on the strap? 1.5 or 2 inches?

A: 1.5 inches is the width of the hadley pro strap

Q: 3. Is the Billingham Stowaway Pola should bag available in FibreNyte from B&H? The B&H description does not indicate if it canvas or FibreNyte.

A: This is only canvas

Q: 4. Will the Hadley Pro fit a 7D with 24-70 attached as well as a 70-200 and a nifty fifty? Ideally I'd like to put my 13 Macbook Pro Retina in it as well.

A: It will all fit, but it will be a tight fit with the laptop as this bag is not really designed to fit one. I have loaded it up with a D810 with 24-70 and a 70-200 plus my 13 inch mbp plus cables/chargers. Although with this much kit you might want to look at the Hadley Large Pro, with it's dedicated laptob pouch. Hope this helps.

Q: 5. Is this bag deep enough to have a Canon 6D with battery grip laying on its back facing up?

A: Yes.

Q: 6. Hey guys, the green color of the Sage/Chocolate Billingham Hadley Pro bag on B&H's site looks muted or light. I was thinking it was a much darker green than this image portrays. Is it actually darker and how does the your bag's sage/chocolate combination appeal to you? I know the bag is well made and a great size for my needs. Thanks so much! V

A: After submitting my earlier answer, the picture for the small Hadley bag in this color combination represents reality a little better.a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1194579-REG/billingham_bi_503348_54_hadley_shoulder_bag_small.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1194579-REG/billingham_bi_503348_54_hadley_shoulder_bag_small.html/a

Q: 7. what is the width of the shoulder strap?

A: 25mm or 1 inch

Q: 8. Will this bag fit a Nikon D500 with Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 lens, or should I get the Hadley Large Pro?

A: for that lens attached i would go with the hadley large pro

Q: 9. Do the two front pockets have snaps for closing? Or what type of closure do they have?

A: The pockets have snaps. You can see them on the other photos we have for the product.

Q: 10. Is it possible to put a 12 MacBook inside the hardly pro meanwhile one camera with lens in? Thanks for the comment.

A: Thank you all the guys, and appreciate very much for all your comments. My gears are M240 with one 28mm Elmarit plus one 35mm Sumicron, hopefully with 12 inch MacBook. I will go for Hardly Pro for the try. However I was tortured to select the color between all black and black with tan leather. Please kindly let know your own choice to the color preference. Thanks again.

I am using my EVENT bag to hold a Pentax K1 with large lens, Macro lens in hard case, flash and a small lens with my MAC Pro in the sleeve on the side. Great padding all round. The quality of stitching, material used and shoulder strap - couldn't be better. I thought long and hard in spending the money required for this bag, but I haven't been happy with other bags to protect the camera and non can hold my MAC.

As long as the photographer knows what can & should comfortably fit into the 3 main compartments and the couple of extra pockets, then this is perfect.
Dont look for all the modern things of lap top holder, water bottle holder etc.
that is not what this beautiful bag is about.

This is not a cheap bag, and you’ll probably find larger bags for much cheaper. However, this is a Billingham and if you know Billingham then you know it’s going to be a stylish and functional bag, that will definitely turn heads.

but a little small for what I was looking for so I returned it. I liked the compartments and it's great for a smaller camera (my Sony a7 with the 35 mm lens fit well and it would hold another lens), but does not have very much room for anything else. It would be a nice bag as a purse (or man purse). I also find it awkward to remove a camera from a bag that has a zipper opening. I like the idea, but when I actually withdraw the camera I have to give it all my attention, use both hands and I am wary of scratching the camera against the zipper. Again, a person preference thing - not a flaw in the bag design.

I own several Billingham bags: Hadley Pro, Hadley Large and f1.4. The oldest of which is the Hadley Large. The challenge with the Hadley Pro and Hadley Large is that these bags are narrow where it takes some fiddling to get my Fuji X-T2 and X-Pro2 cameras in and out with lenses mounted. I wanted a lightly wider bag (front to back) to make it easier to use with two cameras. When the Hadley One was announced, I ordered it right away. The bag answers my prayers. It also features a 2 wide removable strap which makes the bag more comfortable when loaded up with gear. A dedicated laptop pocket accommodates my 13 MacBook Pro AND iPad Pro 9.5. When I travel, however, I only take my iPad Pro and leave the laptop home. The fit and finish is the usual top-notch Billingham quality. It should last for years and the nob and leather closures are quiet and fast to open and close. No velcro ever on a Billingham bag. I purchased mine in fibernyte Khaki with chocolate brown leather trim. This is the same color scheme and materials as my f1.4 bag. It's beautiful and doesn't scream expensive camera gear inside.

Five years later, this amazing little bag is still my go-to for quick, single camera use. Leica M8 or M9 plus 50 Summilux fits perfectly inside. Add a divider and you can take one lens as well. It's really simple - just get one of the 10-15 dividers, depending on how you want to divide the internal space of the Pola, and you've instantly got a couple of compartments. Yes, you have to get a divider to make this really useful, but once you do, you can have one larger camera bag and the Pola ready at a moments notice. Billingham quality, design is timeless and B&H gets you the freshest products. Nice job all!

Bought this bag to hold all my day photo gear and essentials while I traveling outside the country. This is an airport dream bag. It is the perfect size to hold my gear snug and secure without being oversized and a burden. I opted to get the additional shoulder pad option as a days equipment comes to about 15lbs and it makes a big difference to distribute the weight. I added my Peak Design CapturePro to the strap for when I need the camera available but not in my hands without adding another strap around my neck. I have a Fuji-Xpro2, 16-55, 100-400, 1.5 converter, Nissin Di700A Flash, and iPad Pro loaded and have 1/3 the bag, one front pocket, and the back slip pocket still available. There is enough room to bring it up to the 22 lbs carry on limit. I'm impressed with the style and have no doubts that it will endure the riggers of travel while keeping my equipment safe.
