Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have the Billingham L2. Considering switching to Hadley Small Pro. What I like about the L2 are the 4 metal ‘feet’ which keep it from toppling/flopping over & off of a dirty surface. However I miss having a handle when getting in/out of vehicles etc. Anyone compared them directly side by side?

A: I have a Hadley Small Pro and I wouldn't worry about them flopping over. The padded insert helps the bag keep it's shape and whenever placed on a flat surface it always stays where it's put. The handle is a very definite improvement over any bag without a top handle. I think the Hadley Small Pro is probably the best bag you can get for a small mirrorless outfit. Mine has two X-E3's with small primes and there is still plenty of room for at least one other small prime. The front pockets just swallow up any accessories that you may need. A brilliant bag.

Q: 2. Can an iPhone X fit in an AVEA 3 pouch?

A: Yes, unless you have a very bulky case.

Q: 3. Will this bag hold a Lumix G9II with a non-telephoto lens attached?

A: Yes, the Billingham Hadley Small Pro Shoulder Bag (Black Canvas & Tan Leather) will fit the Panasonic Lumix G9 II Mirrorless Camera with a lens attched. The lens can be upto 6'' long.

Q: 4. will it fit a sekonic 858 light meter?

A: The case has exterior dimensions of 5 x 2.5 x 7" / 12.5 x 6.5 x 18 cm. The meter is 3.7 x 6.9 x 1.9" / 94 x 176 x 49 mm. We have not tested this but it is our opinion that there will be enough wiggle room that the case will comfortably hold the meter.

Q: 5. What is "special" about the "special edition"? Merely the red color?

A: Yes , the color combination

Q: 6. Will a Sony RX100M5A fit in the AVEA 3 please, as a reviewer said a Leica CM will?

A: The AVEA 3 hold a Sony RX100M5A woud be a very tight fit from front to back. perhaps too tight.

Q: 7. I was wondering if this would comfortably hold an M6 with a 30mm lens mounted as well as the associate lens shade and a Manfrotto table top tripod (the super small one)? Thanks!

A: It will probably be close. I use this bag with a film Leica MP with 50mm lens (built in hood). There is a bit more space but you will have anything else sitting on top or very close to camera, so would likely need some form of protective divider. Best regards.

Q: 8. Does anyone know if the iPhone X will fit inside an AVEA 3 pouch? Billingham do not provide the interior dimensions for the product. Thanks!

A: An iPhone 5s will fit, but a 6s will not. The iPhone X will not fit.

Q: 9. I have a Leica x2 with the VF-2 attached..Will this fit into the bag?

A: I have two sizes of this bag. The bigger was getting to be too big. The small one I use with a Lumix LX-100 and its small flash attached. Lovely quality. I would only get the black. The tan gets filthly

Q: 10. Will this work with a Billingham Hadley One?

A: You can attach this to the Billingham Hadley One.

[Flap with Stud] I have owned this bag for approximately a few months now. I wanted to give it some use before I sat down an wrote a review. Im happy I did. Obviously, from the crafter of this bag you would assume high quality and it absolutely lives up to that. The canvas, leather, brass and excellent padding add up to one fantastic package. However, what really impressed me is the ease of use/protection this bag offers. Ive had nice over the shoulder bags in the past, but the Rucksack really is my favorite. There is so much space to hold lenses, cameras and what else you may need (you can separately purchase side pockets if you need more space as well). I am able to carry three full frame lenses (50, 65, 135mm), my Sony a7 w/ battery pack and flash in the main padded section of the bag. I could possibly fit one more lens if needed. Another exceptional quality of the Rucksack is its weather sealing. I have tested it first hand in snow and heavy rain and its great! Nothing is wet on the inside of this bag. Overall, I cant say enough- Im a very satisfied customer!

[Flap with Stud] If you're looking for a small bag for protecting a single small camera and single lens, this is a great bag. Just the right size for a Fujifilm X100 series camera or an X-E3 with a small lens. I wrote in an earlier review that it was a bit snug for an X-Pro3, but that was before I noticed the bottom padding was removable, which makes it the perfect size for the X-Pro3 with 23/2 and hood (or similar size camera and lens.) The front pocket is small but just the right size for one spare battery and extra memory cards.

[Yes] It is bigger than one might think.  I initially purchased this to carry a compact Sony RX-100, but the AVEA 5 is too big.  I like the bag enough that I have decided to keep it.  The pouch matches my Billingham Hadley bag perfectly.  It easily hold my X-E1 or X-T2 camera body (no lens attached) or my Nikon SB-800 flash with room to spare.  A great extra pouch for those items, such as an extra body, flash unit, or filter set than one might use occasionally.

[Universal] Got this as a smaller case for a Leica M10 when I want to pack light with the 40mm M-Rokkor (or Summicron) lens. Works well for this purpose, allowing me to throw the camera in my commuting pack safely. The ability to use it to carry some extra stuff, attached to the side of the Hadley Digital is a nice bonus.

[Empty] I use it with my Billingham S2 shoulder bag when I need to carry extra stuff, and sometimes by itself as a belt pouch for a little Fuji X-E3 with a pancake lens. Works well for both applications

[Empty] The Billingham Rucksack 25 is absolutely beautiful. I own the all black version. Its one of the few bags that Ive seen that works well in both style and function. The materials are very high quality.

[Empty] This bag is simply amazing. I had an average shoulder bag for a long time; I bought a bigger shoulder bag when I upgraded my equipment (quantity and quality). However, I faced a problem: walking around with the gigantic shoulder bag was both impractical and unobtrusive. I watched a lot of backpack reviews and other types of shoulder bags, andBillinghamintrigued me. Both stylish, built to last and protect in all kinds of conditions, I was interested. The price was a bit prohibitive, but I thought that with the quality of this product, it could perhaps last me a whole life. Plus, I wanted something that is safe for my gear.

Having finally decided to buy it, I must admit that when I received it, the bag exceeds my expectations in terms of quality, beauty and padding to protect all my equipment. I have inserted all the material I need and even more. There is plenty of room to put everything I need.

For reference, currently in the bag, there is a Canon 7D Mark II + Battery Grip with the lens 24-105 mm, a 85mm f/2 manual, a 50mm f/1.4, a 24mm f/2.8 and finally a 70- 300 mm. On the outside sleeve, I placed Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT, some 4 x 6 filters, 5 batteries and the charger. An AA / AAA battery charger and finally some SD and CF cards.
