The 95mm Kase Black Mist Magnetic Filter 1/2 & Adapter 95mmfrom Kase Black Mist Magnetic Filter 1/2 & Adapter 95mmincludes a 95mm magnetic adapter and a 95mm black mist 1/2 soft focus filter. The magnetic adapter screws onto a lens, and the mist filter attaches to it magnetically. The magnetic adapter can be kept on the lens to quickly and easily swap in other filters, and it also accepts 95mm lens caps.

Mist filters create a pastel effect. It reduces highlights and lowers overall contrast. It features shockproof tempered optical glass with a hardened, easy to clean top coating that protects it from water, oil, dust, fingerprints, and scratches. A plastic storage case is included.

[Glass] Most of my lenses are 67mm so it is essential to have an adapter on each of the lenses so I can switch lenses and not have to unscrew the magnetic adapter and put it onto a new lens but can just pop on one of the magnetic filters. I also got the lens caps for each of the lenses. Kase's magnetic properties on these accessories is pretty darn strong. I don't have to hear about having the filter fall off because the magnets not hard enough. 5

[Aluminum] I had always been skeptical about magnetic filter adapters, some of the early ones popped off too easily. This Kase set, however, has a nice grip on filters and it takes some violent shaking to make it pop off. Whereas I am still unlikely to equip all of my lenses with this for my frequently done daytime long exposures, I find this solution excellent for solar eclipses, where the filter needs to come off in a second and be popped back on in a second. Timing is everything on eclipses, and this takes the anxiety out of that filter change moment. In fact, it emboldened me to try shooting with a polarizer during the eclipse, to catch polarized corona light, and I bought a second filter ring for that. 5
