Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit a Fujifilm X-T4, 16-55, 8-16 and a 50-140?

A: While you could make the gear fit, it would be a very snug fit. The width of the bag is smaller than the diameter of the FUJIFILM XF 8-16mm f/2.8 R LM WR Lens, so the bag would be stretched to fit the lens. A better recommendation would be the Billingham Hadley One Camera Bag (Khaki FibreNyte with Chocolate Leather), B&H # BIH1KCBS, which is wider and would better fit the items you list above.

Q: 2. Does the leather grab handle have two buttons, or two rivets? I'm trying to figure out if you need to undo the buckles to get to your gear or if you can just unclasp the handle. Thanks!

A: The handle does have 2 rivets and does open however because the strap is sewn to the top cover you cannot open the bag without undoing the buckles. I also thought it would open similar to some other Billingham bags I have where you can simply undo the handle, open the flap and there would be another handle inside to easily carry with the flap open but for some reason that feature was not built into this bag. Where the leather starts on the front of the flap straps you can see where it is sewn down if you zoom in. Still an awesome bag to carry large kit with laptop.

Q: 3. What size laptop can this bag hold?

A: My 15 Macbook Pro fits nicely into the Hadley Pro along with a Fuji XE-2, three lenses, a flash and extra batteries and media.

Q: 4. Does anyone know if this bag will fit a 12-inch MacBook?

A: An iPad will fit; however, a 12-inch MacBook would definitely not fit.

Q: 5. Anyone with a D3, d4 or large Dslr inside this bag?

A: Yes, I'm using a Nikon D 810 with grip, medium 3 lenses and some times I carry a macbook pro 15, this bag is fantastic!!!!

Q: 6. Will a 5d mark iii fit in this bag with the lens attached?

A: The bottom of the bag measures 4 by 13 inches. I fit my D7200 with a zoom lens 18/300 mm attached plus two more lenses into my Billingham bag.

Q: 7. will the leica q and batt charger along with extra batt fit?

A: As always the users always give the best advise! i cannot add anything more to this thread except to concur with John W. i personally would go into the hadley digital above the stowaway for that camera setup. but it would fit fine into the smaller stowaway.Eric

Q: 8. Does this bag sit flat on the ground or does it tip over? I hav e a 5D MK IV with70-200 and two other lenses and I hate bags that when sitting on the ground/table the fall over.

A: This bag sits flat.

Q: 9. Does Billingham make an accessory divider that will fit into its Stowaway Compact bag?

A: Yes they do. One model you can do is the Billingham DF8-10 Divider with Flap - for Billingham Bags. Website link: http://bhpho.to/1HNPApGAlso if you click on Accessories under this bag, and click on Inserts and Foams it will list all the compatible dividers.

Q: 10. I want to but the shoulder pad for this but can't find if the strap is 2 or 1.5 - the sp40 or sp50 shoulder pad

A: Billingham lists these shoulder pads as compatible with the Hadley Large Pro Shoulder Bag,http://bhpho.to/1mhLj2O. And these can be used with straps no larger than 2 inches.

[Shoulder Strap] This bag is great for travel and a mirrorless system. If traveling light is your goal, you will be pleased. I put an iPad Pro 9.7, Sony a7II 24-70mm f/4 attached with room for 24-240mm and 50mm lens or a 70-200mm, with room for batteries. The quality of the bag itself is bar none. The leather trim is a nice touch and the canvas feels really durable but soft. The other great thing is that it doesn't look like a camera bag which is exactly what you want when traveling. Definitely worth the purchase.

[2] I really wanted this bag to work, but it was just to small. Coming from a Kata/Manfrotto bag which has multiple pockets and compartments and could hold my equipment... the Billingham bag was just not big enough. It was an awesome bag, quality materials, and looked very sharp... just wasnt big wnough and needed to be returned.

[Canvas, Leather] As with all the other Billingham bags the S3 bag is a beauty. It is the ideal size to carry my X-T1, X-T10 and a spare lens. Also it looks great with the Avea pouches attached. Highly recommend the bag.

[Canvas, Leather] Carries my digital SLR with a couple of lenses and is very well protected. It is easy to get the equipment in and out of the bag.

[Shoulder Strap] I have three Billingham bags; a Leica Combination (my favorite for a Leica and three lenses) a Hadley Pro (my Nikon SLR and four lenses) and then this S4. I use this S4 when I am photographing events and want to have multiple bodies so I dont have to change lenses as much. I like that it is wider than the Hadley Pro, as I often like to use external finders on my Leicas, and for that, the Hadley is a little too narrow. When I use this bag I often have an M6 with a 28mm lens, an M4 with a 50mm lens, and then an FM2 with a 180mm and a 105mm. This allows me to work quickly and respond to changing environments. the front pouch is large enough for filters, a light meter, and some film, but I feel that it is just a hair too narrow. I really like the larger pockets of the Pro and the Leica bag better in that regard. A shoulder strap is really a must for this bag if you have it loaded out and are carrying it for more a while. I also like how this bag has a zipper that you can use to keep dust or prying hands from reaching in. It also has a design that lets you tuck the zipper out of the way when you need to move more quickly. The zipper and this tuck feature are nice and also the two main downsides of this bag. Because of the zipper, this bag is a bit less waterproof then say the Pro or the Leica bag which have a top flap completely covering the opening and in S.E. Asia downpours have kept my gear completely dry.  I fear that if I was using this bag in that kind of environment that the zippers are the area where water can enter the bag from the side. The other downside is that when you have the zippers tucked away, there is an opening on the sides that can let in a lot of dust. I love this bag and have enjoyed using it over the past 1.5 years when I have a specific event that I am photographing. For a daily bag and a travel bag when I am carrying it all day, I take the Leica bag, and the Pro is for when I am using my SLR and need to take my 180mm or 300mm lens.

[Shoulder Strap] I own the Hadley Pro and was unable to arrange the interior to fit 2 or 3 Fujifilm X-T1 cameras with larger zooms attached (plus the usual extras).  The Pro simply was not wide enough.  This problem was overcome with the design of the Billingham S4 bag.  Although both bags have roughly the same exterior dimensions, the S4 is easily configured for my needs.  As expected, both bags feature the quality and attention to detail this manufacturer is known for.  Now all I have to do is live long enough to wear out them out.
