Kodak T-Max 100 Black & White 35mm Filmis a medium-speed panchromatic black and white negative film characterized by an extremely fine grain structure along with high sharpness and resolving power. By utilizing a T-GRAIN emulsion, the grain pattern resembles a patterned, tabular form that maintains effective film speed while reducing the appearance of grain during enlarging or scanning. This film has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° and also features a wide exposure latitude, broad tonal range, and responds well to push development and zone system development changes.

In addition to processing as a negative in standard black and white chemistry, T-Max 100 is also suitable for reversal processing using the T-Max 100 Direct Positive Film Developing Outfit for creating copy and duplicate work.

This item is one 100'-long roll of standard-perforation 35mm film designed for bulk loading applications, short-dated to expire on May 2024.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use the c-41 on this film?

A: No. There were some B&W films made years ago that could be processed with C-41, but not anymore.

Q: 2. Is this film stable in the fridge? I shot a roll after 8 months in the fridge and it seemed much more grainy than the last roll. I'm also asking because I sent it to a smaller lab closer to home and want to know if that could have been the problem instead.

A: I have never had any issues storing them in a refrigerator.

Q: 3. What is "Used" Film??

A: The Kodak Professional T-Max 100 Black and White Negative Film (120 Roll Film, 5-Pack) in the used department (Used Cat #2709141) has expired on 11/22.

Q: 4. B&W Positive Film, how I can make prints, a reversal paper I guess...?

A: Reversal paper is one way. Another way - scan on good scanner and then print on digital lab.

Q: 5. Hi, I need correct expiration date of this item. Because I have to know if i would able to use all of them before expiration.

A: We guarantee our film as fresh for at least 6 months, but it is often much longer than that.

Q: 6. What is the film speed rating of this film?

A: It says 400 on the box.

Q: 7. What is the expiration date?

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 8. Sorry for such a dumb question, its been ages since I've used this format. How many frames is standard per 120 roll?

A: The number of shots per roll depends on the particular format of the camera being used. 645 cameras can get on average about 15-16 shots depending on the model. 6x6 cameras can get 12 or 13 and 6x7 cameras can get 10 shots per roll.

Q: 9. How many 36 frames rolls can this 100 feet roll can yield? Thanks.

A: You could get about twenty 36 exposure rolls of film from a 100' roll of bulk film.

Q: 10. What is the difference between Kodak TMax black and white film and Kodak TriX film? Thanks! :)

A: There are 3 differences between Tri-X and T-Max400. First, T-Max 400 has a very long, linear scale. Tri-X has a shoulder. This means Tri-X make it easy to get plenty of shadow and midtone detail with less worry about highlights going all white. On the other hand, T-Max 400 gives brilliant and subtle highlights that TX just can't. Secondly, T-Max 400 gives a little more shadow speed and greater 'pushability', Third, T-Max 400 has greater resolution than Tri-X. Both great films, and compliment each other.

[35mm] The perfect piece of media, worthy and advanced quality. As the Ukrainian book of tech says, this film obtains the non-compromise resolution 200 lines/mm and so if you have enough light at your field, you get the outstanding result. Will recommend.

[100] If you shoot film, Tmax 100 is one of the staples. Especially if you require fine grain. Another thing to note is if you have an older camera with a top shelf speed of only 500, 100 speed film maybe an important tool in your toolbox when taking photos on bright sunny days.

[4 x 4 x 2"] Have used this film since Plus-X 125 went off the market. It delivers the same quality images with slightly less contrast which is not always a bad thing.

[100] I was pleasantly surprised to discover that B&H still offers a wide selection of black-and-white film. I'm currently experimenting with vintage rangefinder cameras and I wanted to shoot something similar to the film stocks that I used 50 years ago.
