Used for general-purpose observations from birdwatching to hunting to sightseeing, the Opticron 8x32 Adventurer II WP Binocularsfeature a moderate magnification for bringing subjects in close, and an objective lens diameter that provides extended performance in low light without the bulk of larger lenses. Outfitted with phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms and fully multicoated optics, they deliver high-contrast images that are bright and clear with accurate color representation. An exceptionally long eye relief helps boost the comfort-level during extended observation sessions and reduces eye fatigue.

The compact design of the prism system ensures a slim form-factor for easy packing and carrying. The body is made using both aluminum and polycarbonate for strength and durability. The entire optic is designed with a neutral weight distribution to ensure the center of gravity sits naturally in your hand to prevent arm fatigue. Protective rubber armor and raised palm pads provide a slip-resistant grip. The large textured focus wheel makes them easy to use — especially in cold and wet weather, or when wearing gloves. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and to prevent internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature and environmental conditions. Tethered objective lens caps ensure they remain close at hand when needed and a one-piece ocular rainguard allows for fast deployment in the field.

  • Magnification is 8x to allow observations of subjects without sacrificing exit pupil diameter.
  • Moderate 32mm objectives draw in more light than compact models without the bulk or weight of larger objectives.
  • Compact roof prisms keep the form factor slim for easy packing and comfortable carrying.
  • Phase-corrected BAK4 prisms deliver a round exit pupil plus a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortion.
  • Antireflection fully multicoated optics maximize light transmission to help produce accurate color fidelity and improve contrast and brightness.
  • The field of view is 324' at 1000 yards.

  • Closed-bridge configuration adds stability while providing a solid platform for the focusing mechanism.
  • The large, textured slip-resistant focusing knob is easy to manipulate precisely, even while wearing gloves.
  • Right-eye dioptric correction is ±2 for precise focus adjustment to most user's individual prescription.
  • The binoculars have a 56-73mm interpupillary adjustment range.
  • Twist-up rubber eyecups offer comfortable use with or without eyewear.
  • They are tripod mountable with the purchase of an optional adapter for hands-free use as well as reduced arm fatigue and vibrations.
  • Long 20mm eye relief makes long-duration observation sessions comfortable with reduced eye strain.
  • The comfortable 4mm exit pupil will cover most pupils as they open and dilate in low light.

  • Aluminum and polycarbonate construction is lightweight and sturdy.
  • Neutral balance makes them comfortable in the hand to reduce fatigue during long glassing sessions when you aren't using a support system.
  • They are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when you're moving through extreme temperature changes.
  • Protective rubber armor provides a slip-resistant grip.
  • Textured palm pads improve grip security and stability — especially in wet weather.

[Center] These are very useful and really good for the price. They have a nice wide view and a good depth of field. The compact shape means that the binocular' weight is close to your face, which with the lower magnification makes for an image that's easy to keep steady. The eyecups are nice for rubber; at first I thought twist-out would be a big improvement but as is, it's quick and easy to bring them to eye. They fit big and smal IPDs and are ready to pass betwee users.
I thought about rating them at 4 stars since comparison with models 3X-10X in cost shows expected superior optics, but optics on these are nice and judged on their own terms, I think they hit as much as can be expected, so I guess that's a 5.

[4 mm] Binoculars work great. The focus is wonderful and the distance is surprisingly clear. I was not expecting these to be as good as they are, especially for the price.

[32 mm] Many reviews to read from on Amazon.com as well. Bhphoto had the better price even after exchange for us living in Canada. I already own a 500$ pair of 10x50 roof for stargazing and a 8x42 monocular. For me this was the perfect do all. The stability is so good that i can actually see more then some 8x42 and cheaper 10x42 binoculars I've tried. The wide field of view is appreciated in dense trees and the min viewing distance is still very low for a porro prism. Read other reviews as they can get really into depth about the lens characteristics. It's not roof flat and is very 3D like. Image is soft around the edges but nothing distracting and perhaps what gives this a better experience when you focused on something specific. This is a unique instrument and I don't see myself ever getting rid of it. Although it's not nitrogen purged, I reached out to Opticron and they actually put one in the freezer to see how it would defrost at room temp. I haven't used it in the rain just yet. One day I want to get the Kawa 6.5x32 to compare to this. All the best .

[8x] Picked these out of the few at this size. Very nice glasses, compare very well to my others. Clarity and depth of field very good, very wide field of view. Makes a great walking glass , I don't leave home without them. If you need something that can be held steady these will work. They were collimated properly and the case has a belt loop . Very lightweight

[4 mm] Easy to take out at a moment's notice to stargaze under urban/suburban light pollution as a person who wears glasses. I have used them handheld and was quickly able to see double stars and star clusters in the summer sky. Saw epsilon lyrae as two stars, but couldn't resolve into the quad.

I love that the lens covers on both the front and back sides are attached to the binoculars or to the basic neck strap. Makes taking them out for short viewing windows hassle-free. I don't need to worry about where I set them down and finding them again in the dark. Since getting these binoculars I've gone out onto my porch, even in not the best of conditions, just to see what I can spot. It has made stargazing fun and accessible again.

Highly recommend for someone looking for a decent pair of beginner stargazing binoculars.

[4 mm] Delivery by B&H was very prompt. this pair of Opticrons's is the fifth pair i've bought.......have gifted three of them to birder family members. for the money i don't know what you'd buy that would give a better view. they gather light quite well like all inexpensive binoculars they are a little soft at the edges, but most of us concentrate on the middle view and it is tack sharp at the center. these are ideal for birders. and i've enjoyed taking them outside at night to view the sweet spots in the Milky Way. you cannot go wrong buying these at the price B&H offers.
