[Aluminum] The only reason I can imagine not to buy this grip is if you're using a leather case with attached neck strap.


With a wrist strap, this grip is a necessity. It would be nice to have an option with an extended grip, as it's still not comfortable to carry the camera one-handed by the grip alone. But, the Zfc is already an ergonomic compromise, so can't fault SmallRig at all.

[Yes] After going on vacations with a NIkon D750 and the Nikon 28-300 zoom lens, I was exhausted from carrying this camera setup all day.


So I wanted a lighter camera setup, without giving up image quality.


I recently purchased a Nikon Z fc and the 18-140 DX Zoom lens. Easy to setup and use. While the Nikon menus and options were not identical to the D750, they were similar enough that setup was a not complicated.


Wow, the image quality from the Z fc is outstanding. Comparing the weight the weight I had to carry from the D750 to the Z fc, I was thrilled the weight was significantly cut by more than half.


My only regret was I did not switch a few vacations ago.

[0.295 lb] I have owned Nikon cameras going back to the Cool Pix 995, and each generation has gotten better. I love the physical controls, I love how quickly the camera focuses (even with my old F-mount lenses), I love the fast integration with my phone, and I love how little noise I see even at high ISOs.

This camera has re-inspired my photography.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This is an essential add-on to the Zfc. The simple design of the silver and black beautifullly integrates with the body and looks factory. It provides a modest (but not overly large) rubber grip to the body that aids in a more positive purchase of the original slim camera body.

[0.295 lb] I am a big fan of this grip. It adds the dovetail for easy tripod mounting, as well as a dumb shoe for external accessories like flash remotes, mics, etc. The grip adds just enough to make the camera a bit easier to hold without interfering with operations or adding too much weight.

[Aluminum] The SmallRig L-Shaped Grip for the Nikon Zac is simple, elegant and a necessary accessory for the Nikon Zfc. The engineering is well thought out and the fit and finish are excellent. The L-Shaped Grip makes the little Zfc gem easier to hold and maintains the retro look. If there is a Zfc II it would be wise for Nikon to incorporate it in the update, even if they have to pay royalties to SmallRig, IMO.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I specifically wanted a digital camera with manual controls, like the one my dad had when I was growing up, and this camera exceeded my expectations. Having used it for a few weeks now, I can confidently say that I absolutely love it.

[0.295 lb] A good balance between usability and functionality. I have been using a higher end FX frame Nikon and the number of dials,buttons etc was too much. ZFc has half the dials and buttons and you can easily shoot with only the viewfinder. It's titanium alloy body definitely does not have a cheap plastic feel like some reviewers have said. Gone from the top near the on-off switch is the easily accidently moved single frame/burst switch. I easily assigned it's function to the Fn button. DX lens lack the MF/AF and VR on-off switches of their FX counterparts. Fortunately some brain at Nikon put those controls in the I button menu on the camera. Now a button push, dial turn and another button push let you change the VR and AF. Higher resolution than my FX Nikon and fun to carry and shoot. For me its a winner.
