A: With an 82mm objective it is recommended that you use both of these filters on you spotting scope. They are both available at B&H. These are the part numbers. B&H # DADSC4SP and B&H # BW486MC82.

Q: 2. We lost the lens cap. Does this scope use a push-on or snap-on cap? And it should be 60mm, correct?

A: The Nikon ProStaff 5 16-48x60 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing) came with a snap-on objective lens cap. Nikon does not specify what size it was. The objective optic is 60mm. My guess would be a 62mm snap-on cap.

A: The Country of Origin is China.

Q: 4. Will this eyepiece work on the ATX eyepiece?

A: This Eyepiece is dedicated for STR Scopes. This will not work with ATX Eyepieces.

Q: 7. Do you have a hard case for this scope ?

A: Nope. It's got the neoprene condom on and that it. Gets used every Sunday and had been bouncing around under the back seat of my truck since I go it and still works perfectly.

Q: 8. Are you able to rotate the scope so the eye piece goes to the side instead of pointing up?

A: The eyepiece of the Nikon ProStaff 5 20-60x82 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing) BH #NIPS582AZFS • MFR #6975 does not rotate.

Q: 9. Does it come with window mount

A: No it does not..... also if you chose window mount... you need to get the straight lens version instead of angle lens.

Q: 10. Do you have to buy eyepiece separately or comes with one? Also, what is needed to attach Nikon dslr?

[Neoprene] Easy to fit on the scope, and easy to use in the field. The case allows quick access to the scope without removing the front or rear lens covers, just detach a few snaps and the covers hang on out of the way. Has a carrying strap that can be slung over a shoulder and full access to the focusing ring. The only negative is the price - but you get what you pay for. 5

[Neoprene] This case provides good protection to the scope. You can quickly and easily remove the lens covers, and rotate them to one side and snap them into place. It is much faster and easier to work the snaps instead of zippers on an older model of the case.The biggest disadvantage is the price. At $$on every web site I saw, the price seems way too high. But I paid it, because it was the only cover I saw with both a carry strap and easy to remove lens covers. 5

[Neoprene] This is my first scope. I held off buying one all these years because I didn't want to carry a heavy awkward scope on my birding walks. When this one and the Kowa came out I started seriously considering this fairly expensive purchase. Based on reviews I was leaning towards the Kowa, but when I handled both in the store the Swarovski was just so much easier to focus and a pleasure to handle. The optics are incredible! I took it on a bird walk with 9 other people and they were all impressed and asking me about it. I've taken it out about 4 times now and carried it on my tripod for my regular ~2 mile morning walk and have had no trouble at all. Altogether the weight is ~4.5 pounds. After my car and my apartment, this is probably the most expensive thing I've purchased for myself and I have no regrets. It is small and lightweight enough that I won't think twice about regularly taking it on bird walks. I expect to enjoy this scope for a very long time! 5
