A: The BP827 was the original high capacity for the XA10. It was replaced by the BP828. I just put a fully charged BP828 on my XA10 and it showed 311 minutes of record time in the LCD. I like the BP820 batteries because they don t protrude from the battery cavity like the BP828. But for longest battery life, get the BP828 it works fine on the XA10. B & H has the Watson brand batteries that seem to get good reviews, but I've never tried them. Amazon has the Wasabi brand that I have tried and they seem to work very well and they are much cheaper than the Canon brand. I use the Wasabi brand for backups. Good Luck

[Canon BP-820] This battery was purchased for use with a Cannon camera. It fit perfectly just like the OEM and takes a good charge. I have had excellent experience with Watson lithium batteries and would purchase them in the future. 5

[Lithium-Ion] As always, B&H comes through!! I bought a video camera from B&H about 10 years ago. My battery took a dump. They had a substitute battery that worked great. Already charged & put in the camcorder. I love the camcorder mainly due to its simplicity of using it. Very happy camper as always with this company who I have done business with over 20 years!! 5

[Canon BP-820] This is the first time I've used this brand. I've used the original Canon, Lenmar and Xit Photo batteries rated at 2400 mAh and despite the rating of only 1780 they show the same time remaining when I install the into the camera of 163 mins. I haven't actually time them to see if they are lasting that long but they last long enough. I also notice that they work the same as the original Canon battery in the charger in that when they are full the full light on the charger comes on. This doesn't happen with all after market batteries. The charge light goes out without the full light coming on. 5

[Lithium-Ion] Wanted an extra batter for a Canon XA20. Decided to go with an off brand of Watson instead of paying the higher big bucks for the Canon. Seems to work well with the camera and have no issues so far. 5
