I just set up this new softbox. I attached it to my Astra 6x. Really happy with the inner baffle and 2 sheets of diffusion. Beautiful soft light. All materials seem durable and solid. Is it worth the price? My first thought is yes, but time will tell. This will be an excellent interview light.

Was bummed to find out that the fan must be running in order to achieve full brightness, but when I heard the fan, I knew it wouldn't be a problem. You can only hear the fan if you put your ear a couple inches from it! #silent

Comes with a storage bag which allows the softbox to fold away rather than removing the rods each time, which is awesome. As long as you have a way to transport a flat bag that is 25"x19" you should be good to go.

Allows the LP 1x1 to go without AC Power. Makes the light significantly more portable. Mounts very easily to back of light.

I was surprised when i received this IDX v-mount adaptor for my litepanels 1x1. It was indeed a very good and its match my litepanels prefectly. I will definely be getting more of this if i have more litepanels units.

I love this light. I bought two of these after renting them for a whole. They are better, lighter weight, and less expensive than the Arri skypanel making it a much better value. I have Astras as well but am excited about the new 1x1 Gemini which is the 1x1 version of this light.

Excellent for controlling the spread of light from my Astra Soft LED unit. Very satisfied!

Didn't realize this utilizes a 1-1/8 spigot, not big deal I just had to purchase proper stands for this mount. I love that this mount can come on and off the light without tools, which allows the light to pack more easily into a Pelican 1610 case (use the Skypanel S30-C), the standard mount yoke that comes with a SkyPanel is rather bulky for travel and only comes off by removing four screws. The versatility that this mount adds for lighting angles is great. Only downside is now the power supply for the Skypanel has to be mounted to the stand or set on the ground. Strong and high quality.

If you’ve put off buying this based on a dissatisfaction with the smaller version, let me assure you this is 100% better. Both the larger size and the internal baffle makes all the difference in accomplishing a truly diffused light. I used this for the first time recently, and the difference in soft, diffused light compared to the smaller one was amazing. That said, the price is ridiculously high, and the size when collapsed is something to consider; it won’t fit in most the portable cases that are available for the lights, themselves.

Solid, light, secure, small and works not only on Hive heads, but also any Profoto head as Hive lights are 4 OD and use Profoto mods.

Just wish Hive would get them into system on a more regular basis, as would like to buy a 2nd.

I love the quality this grid gives to the light.

This V-mount plate for my new Lite Panel works perfectly with my Sony V mount batteries, which seem to last almost a whole day when moving around to multiple locations. I got two!
