Q: 1. Looking for a adapter for my canon eos Rebel T6i to take pics through my vortex razor HD 27-60-85

A: To position tour camera over your spotting scope you will need the Novagrade Digiscoping Adapter for Canon DSLR Cameras BH #NOUA00CA01 • MFR #UA-00CA-01

Q: 2. Is there any way to mount a Panasonic GH5 body to this scope? Thanks!

A: Using the Novagrade T-Mount Digiscoping Adapter BH #NOUA00T101 • MFR #UA-00T1-01 on the scope and the Vello T-Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds-Mount Camera Lens Adapter BH #VELAMFTT • MFR #LA-MFT-T on your camera body. Those (2) pieces will now screw together

Q: 6. I just wanted to ask about the new once piece focus ring on the new model? I am a little worried about it as the last model had a course and fine focus and I wanted this primarily for target shooting. Is the new swarovski type focus ring just as good as the old fine focus or should I look for another brand of scope? Thanks.

A: I have both and prefer the new focus ring. Smooth as silk and stays put once in focus. It also is much faster than the old style to focus. The optics are a tad bit better on the new one as well

Q: 7. Does this work well with smartphone or nikon camera?

A: If you use a Nikon DSLR I would recommend the: Novagrade Digiscoping Adapter for Nikon DSLR Cameras BH #NOUA00NI01 • MFR #UA-00NI-01 For a smart phone, my recommendation would be the: Carson HookUpz 2.0 Universal Optics Adapter for Smartphones BH #CAIS200 • MFR #IS-200

A: Don't know

Q: 9. does the Vortex Razor Hd 27-60x85 spotting scope come with a protective case?

Q: 10. Can iPhone X be attached to it? If so, what kind of adapter?

A: I think the only adapter thats any good is the PhoneScope. They take great pics!

[Neoprene] I bought a pair of viper vinos about 6 years ago and from the day of purchase I have longed to get a razor spotter! Well the day finally came about 4 months ago! I am blown away by this amazing instrument! The clarity is off the charts! I have used other high end brands like sworovski, Leopold, night force, and Leica and I have to say that for the price you can not beat vortex! Especially when it comes to the warranty! You have a life long customer in me from binos to spotters to rifle scopes and range finders! I will not but anything else!

[Neoprene] I had considered getting a telescope but wanted something that could use terrestrially and for digiscoping. A telescope might work but it would be too cumbersome and not as useful. I git the Vortex Razor HD so I could watch wildlife and be able to use it at night to look at the moon and planets. The sun's been setting too late at night lately for the latter but that'll change as the year wears on.

The optics are superb! The image is crystal clear even at long - in excess of 1/3 mile - and makes reading even small print possible. I was able to read a license plate in excess of a quarter mile. Not just the number but the state name as well. The only issue I had at that distance was atmospheric interference and that isn't the problem with the scope.

The neoprene cover that came with the scope is pretty useless to me. It wouldn't do much except protect the scope from possible dings and scratches. It has no handle so it doesn't provide much other functionality. I might think about a soft carrying case instead.

The controls all work smoothly and don't drift unexpectedly. The biggest issue I had was having the eyepiece out and turning it in with my eye still on it. I'm missing several eyebrow hairs from doing that.

I'm getting used to finding the subject at the 27x zoom then zooming in. The 60x zoom is significant! I'm still playing with the Celestron Star Finder scope I bought. It doesn't really fit this spotting scope but I fix it to to that. I now have a red dot scope to find a subject.

I'm looking forward to getting this scope out more and, using the t-mount and micro four thirds adapter for my camera, to shoot wildlife.

This has changed my viewing habits!

[Neoprene] Excellent glass, easy to use, good eye relief. It is a bit heavy, but that is to be expected. Rugged and well built!

[Neoprene] Over all this is a great scope, clarity is good... I gave a 9 because the focus adjustment knob is hard to get the right focus at longer distances. This is where the smaller fine tuning knob is needed.

[Neoprene] 30 minutes out of the box I was spotting Elk just over a mile up the mountain from my back porch.

[Neoprene] I've used a Celestron Regal M2 80ED as my birding scope for several years. It was a good scope, and performed quite well at the lower end of the magnification range and under bright viewing conditions. I've had opportunities to use high-end scopes during some birding tours, and while some were impressive (Swarovski in particular), I was reluctant to spend that kind of money. I recently purchased a pair of Vortex Razor binoculars, and I've been really pleased with them. After reading tons of reviews of this scope, I decided to purchase it and I've been very happy that I did. In a side-by-side comparison with the Celestron, this scope is obviously brighter (which would be expected at 85mm vs 80mm), but it's the performance at 60X magnification that has really pleased me. I never felt like I could get the Celestron in really sharp focus at 60X, but that's not a problem with this Vortex Razor. I took it to a local turfgrass farm after a recent rainstorm to look for late shorebird migrants, and was able to get extremely clear views of birds hundreds of yards off the road in suboptimal light. Vortex also has the best warranty in the business. I strongly recommend this scope.
