A: "Weather resistant" means that it is not designed to be submerged in water , but can be taken out in the rain . The Canon G7XII will fit inside sitting horizontally.

A: It's not made for MixPre but by measures (MixPre is smaller) it will fit in there with some foam application. I expect Portabrace to come out soon with a dedicates MixPre Case. I am quite happy with this vest.
