The blue Leofoto MT-02C Mini Tabletop Travel Tripod is a carbon fiber desktop tripod that provides a quick and efficient way of adjusting the legs into different positions. Instead of knobs or levers, knurled leg locks allow independent leg adjustment. The legs can be set into three different positions: 30°, 60°, and 85°. Leg tension can be adjusted using the provided Allen key. The included LH-22 Mini Ball Head is made of anodized aluminum and offers a 1/4"-20 mounting screw. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the ball size?

A: The diameter of the ball on the Leofoto LH-40LR Low-Profile Ball Head with Lever Release Clamp is 40mm. The "40" in "LH-40LR" refers to the ball diameter.

Q: 2. Does the Manfrotto 323 RC2 200PL-14 Plate work with the LH-40?

A: No. Please review the following items for your quick release need. https://bhpho.to/3CCKYqq

Q: 3. Does this ball head include ball mounting bushing?

A: The Leofoto LH-55LR Ball Head with LR-70 Lever Release Clamp does not include a 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing. To mount the head to a tripod with a 1/4"-20 stud, get the Oben 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing, BH #OB1039.

Q: 4. Is the ball head removeable?

A: No, the ballhead is not removable on the Ulanzi MT-42 2-in-1 Selfie Stick and Mini Tripod with Ball Head.

Q: 5. Are these leges 2 sections or three sections? What is the length of each leg when unfolded? A compact light stand base?

A: The Leofoto MT-04 Folding Aluminum Mini Tripod has three sections and a folded length of 170mm. It weighs 320g.

Q: 6. Will this fit on Manfrotto 755CX3 legs?

A: Yes it will. This head has a 3/8"-16 Tripod Mounting Thread which will allow it to be mounted on B&H # MA755CX3.

Q: 7. Is the head mount screw 3/8-16 or 1/4-20?

A: The Leofoto MT-03 Spider Table Tripod has a 1/4"-20 mounting screw, and also includes a 3/8"-16 bushing to fit heads with that threading.

Q: 8. Will this work with Leofoto LS-284CEX Carbon Fiber Tripod?

A: Yes, this will mount to the LS-284CEX or virtually any other tripod as long as it has a 3/8"-16 mounting screw.

Q: 9. What is important to consider when looking at different size ball heads? For ex, why choose a 40mm over a 30mm or 50mm?

A: The size of the ball, actually the base corresponds with the tripod base. For example if you have a travel tripod or a smaller size tripod, then a 20mm or 30mm would be a good fit. A large tripod dictates a 40 or 50mm ball head.

Q: 10. how round is it? trying to figure out how chunky it is in the hand.

A: The diameter of the Leofoto Spider MT-04 Aluminum Mini Tripod with LH-30 Ball Head excluding knobs, is roughly 1.85" / 47mm. The legs themselves are squared off, and not round, so it would not be a totally smooth feel.

[Ball Head] I have also the MT-03 but I prefer the Mt-04 because it is more sturdy with my Sony A7R5. For me it is the perfect travel tripod for long expo shots. It is small and light. Recommended.

[Carbon Fiber] I use this together with a Platypod. My objective was to find a very light small ball head to use with a Canon R5 and L lenses. The weight and size are important because otherwise it will get left behind when traveling.

I'm impressed with the holding power of the ball head. The R5 and typical lens weigh about 2.8 to 3.5 pounds.

[Carbon Fiber] I wanted to try the mini tripod with my xt5 and my bulkier lens, the xf 70-300, which is not a heavy piece of equipment, but I had my doubts, 0 problems

[Carbon Fiber] My first reaction upon unboxing was, oh no, this is way smaller than I expected. The description states “pocket-sized” and it definitely is.

I ordered the MT-02 to replace a SmallRig Tabletop Mini Tripod with Panoramic Ball Head, which I ended up returning due to its legs not having notched level locks (unstable with my camera/lens load). The MT-02 kit is considerably smaller than the SmallRig (leg width/spread and the ball head/arca swiss mount size), but I must say, once I mounted my camera/lens, the MT-02 did not disappoint. Super sturdy and stable, even at the more acute leg angles (not so much at the tallest 30° angle).

Solid build quality with all metal construction (including the knobs and leg adjustment locks). The legs are 5 inches in length each, and open to form a triangle with 10 sides at its lowest locking angle (85°). Included was a nice, neoprene, form-fitting zippered case and compact arca-swiss type plate.

NOTE: The pan function on the LH-25 does indeed lock when the ball head knob is tightened. This doesn’t make sense, considering having a pan feature should allow panning without changing the ball head orientation. I did find that if I loosened the ball head knob just the right amount, it did allow for the pan to work without effecting the ball head position.

[Ball Head] Solid and well built. Holds my 80mm spotting scope firmly in any position. Smooth operation with knobs that are easy to turn.

[Carbon Fiber] Since I dislike the vast array of plastic accessories and tripods offered for action cameras/smartphones, I was looking for something more in line with real video/photography gear. This smallish tripod is the typically good build quality offered by Leofoto. Using it almost daily for a couple weeks now and couldn't be more pleased. Tried a full frame camera with short lens just to see if it felt stable, and I think it'd work for that in a pinch. Overall well-pleased.

[Carbon Fiber] Keep looking for a compact, lightweight, flexible tripod, and this one came into my eyes. It does impress me after I opened the package. Solid aluminum material and feels like it can last a long time unless you try to break it. folded size is small enough to put on the sling bag, or small camera bag with ball head. BH also sells this tripod with LH-30 with decent package deal. Since I already had LH-30 and LH-25, I just brought the tripod. Indeed, I like the combination of it with LH-25, the weight and overall size are much less. Although the panning using LH-25 is not actually work well, which it’s not my primary concern.
This tripod not only can sit on the flat surfaces, also it can be hooked on the tree, fence, wood or metal post, etc. have a leica m or leica SL with prime lens on it gets the job done.

[Carbon Fiber] I've been in search for the perfect table top tripod for many years now and I think I've finally found it. There's only so many ways to reinvent the tripod and this unique 3 stage design really caught my eye. It's beyond sturdy, the included ball head is a steal to get bundled with this tripod, and my only con is that it's not the lightest tripod but it doesn't claim to be. Overall, would highly recommend!

[90°] I ordered three different table top tripods determined not to end up with a gimmicky piece of junk. There was no risk of that; they are all great:
The Beast Grip BT-50 has the beefiest ball head but was the heaviest and adjusting the leg spread involves a tiny hard to reach switch at the base, impossible in gloved hands. Otherwise an impressive piece of equipment.
The SmallRig 3033 is the absolute value leader. Very well made, 90% of the quality at almost half the price of the other two tripods. Loved the minimalist packaging. Does weigh more than claimed though.
Despite the competition the Leofoto was the clear keeper. It is lightly lighter than the others, and possibly the nicest build, though not definitively. The features solidifying my choice are the single, easily accessible, ball head knob and the individually adjustable leg angles (three settings each leg).
Setting the tilt of the camera by angling the legs makes for a very stable platform. The single ball head knob is idiot proof. (I recently dropped my camera by loosening the camera plate knob thinking it was the tilt adjustment on another, non-tabletop tripod, so I would know.)
Ultimately all great choices.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] Great ballhead that performs as well as ball head that I paid 4x the cost. Very pleased. Rock solid with my Nikon Z6-II and 500 PF lens.
