Simultaneously transmit up to two discrete 12G-SDI signals over single mode fiber cable with the Freakshow HD 12G-SDI Dual SDI to Fiber Transmitter with DC Barrel Power Connector. This low-power consumption transmitter features a DC barrel power connector for quick disconnects at wrap. The transmitter re-clocks the BNC SDI inputs, and converts the signal to fiber, transmitting it up to 6.2 miles. You will need a receiver at the other end to decode the fiber signal and output SDI video.

A: This mini converter converts SDI to optical Fiber and will also convert optical fiber back to SDI. For long runs, you can have one at each end or directly connect fiber to many of the Blackmagic products.

A: Yes, it is compatible with the ATEM Camera Converter. You will still need to get the Optical Module Adapter separately.

Q: 8. Do you need the converter on both ends of an SDI run? For example, Panasonic AU150 PTZ has a fiber out.

A: If you're changing it from fiber to SDI then back to fiber (or vice versa), you would need two. If it's only one conversion on one end of the run, you only need one converter box.

Q: 9. Does this work with the Blackmagic Design Studio Fiber Converter?

A: No. The Studio Fiber Converter can only connect to the Camera Fiber Converter using a SMPTE fiber cable. The signal is not compatible with the Mini Converter Optical Fiber.

Q: 10. Can I power this with usb from one of my 3 ronin rs2 slots ?

[0.92 lb] I just bought this great piece of gear. I have only used in a comercial and I was very happy with this little piece of gear. It performed great and didn’t have any issue during the shooting. I will highly recommend it if you need two sdi outputs for your komodo. You need to feed it with a lemo or the other feed option in order to work. I bought the lemo version and work great. 5

[9 x 7.1 x 2.5"] Very please with these sturdy, flexible, short cables. Zero cable memory and perfect to connect cameras that are close to my setup. Helpful for monitors and other gear too - when you don't want these thick, stiff cables all over the place. Rated much higher than I currently need, so future proofing as well. 5

[Yes] The device is improved in a number of ways over the previous generation. It's smaller, feels stronger, and has a threaded locking power supply port. It is a little awkward that you have to add your own SFP module, which is not exactly immediately clear, but it does keep the cost quite low for anyone needing only 1080 resolution. The 12G stuff makes this product more expensive than its 4k predecessor, so that's a drawback. But, having bi-directional function on these is a lifesaver in all sorts of situations - not the least of which is sending a confidence monitor signal to any given camera position, which really helps in engineering live events. 5

[2x LC (Fiber)] We got these as we were in a pinch. Set multiple to remote stages for our biggest festival. No it does not come with sfp's, but that allows you to decide what signal you need 3G/ 6G/ 12G and spend accordingly. Locking ps is a appreciated feature. Have performed flawlessly having traveled the country to various music events. These units are perfect for FOH positions as you can send video to DLX/ Servers and get a server feed or spy cam back. 5

[1310 nm] Another great Freakshow product. Simple, intuitive, everything you need and nothing you dont. Small and robust. Internal battery is great. LED lights show you when youve got a proper input signal. Such a time saver. Excellent price. Ill get another 2 or 3 of these just to have them around when I need them. 5
