[Full-Frame] I purchased this lens to use alongside my Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM as 35mm is not a focal length I use enough to warrant buying the 35mm GM as well. I used this lens for several full photo sessions and it autofocuses quickly and accurately, and is as sharp as you'd want it to be! I have no problem using this lens for client work and delivering images taken with it. Highly recommend! 5

[Full-Frame] I was looking for a wide lens that could handle low-light situations in restaurants and night clubs, which I visit a few times a year. I couldn't afford the Nikon one, so I decided to give the Viltrox 24/1.8 a try when I saw it on sale for only $290. After testing it for a few days, I think it's a decent lens for the money. It's not as sharp as the Nikon 24/1.8 in the corners, and it has some vignetting. I wouldn't use it for landscapes (I prefer a zoom lens anyway, and this one is not weather-sealed). But I'm happy with it for night shots and club scenes. 5

[f/2.5] Viltrox impresses again with this little lens! Great optics and natural field of view. Paired with my Nikon Z5, it is great being just wider than a 50mm but a bit tighter than 35mm. Absolutely perfect for everyday photography of family, street, travel, etc. and the autofocus is fast and accurate. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Viltrox equipment and this lens continues that! 5

[f/2.5] Really nice lens. Love the size and build quality. Feels way more expensive than a sub $200 lens. Nice sharp photos and the autofocus motor is quiet and quick…. Indistinguishable from my other Nikkor lenses. 5

[Nikon Z] This is not a good lens for the price... This is a good lens period. Light, small, portable... and most important of all... excellent optics. My personal sweet spot is F3 on this lens, but after taking several pictures, I have found that even wide open the lens takes very decent pictures with great color and detail. This lens is comparable to the Fuji XC line of lenses. it doesn't have an aperture ring, it is made of plastic but the optics were not sacrificed in any way. This lens is an absolute no-brainer. The value I got from this lens far surpasses its asking price. It is almost too good to be true. Seriously... thank you Viltrox!!!!! 5

[7] Thought I'd take a chance on this lens and really glad I did. Excellent build quality, tack-sharp images, completely silent operation, and perfect mating with the Z6ii controls... all for half the price of the Nikkor. Recommended. 5

[Nikon Z] I bought this lens for my Z50 Nikon , I own the Viltrox 20mm 2.8 lens for my Nikon Z5, I was impressed by the results and by the solid construction of this lens . This is why I bought the Viltrox 56 mm 1.7 for portraits and as short telephoto. This is a good quality lens , optically, build and cosmetically. Mechanically the 56 mm acuratally works well with the Z camera. This lens is nice and light , AF IS FAST AND ACCURATE, also very easily focuses manually ! 5

[Full-Frame] This is my first Viltrox lens and I am using it on my Z7. I mostly shoot landscapes, cityscapes, and whatever randomness I see. This lens is super fast, quiet, very lightweight, and really sharp especially for the price. I know people will compare it to the Nikon 40f2, but this is around $80-$100 less, which I why I went with it. I’m enjoying it so far and will definitely buy more from Viltrox in the future. 5
