The Cordless Microscope with Three Objectives - National Optical 211-RLEDfrom Cordless Microscope with Three Objectives - National Optical 211-RLEDis a three-objective single viewing microscope with a 45° inclined monocular. The three objectives are located on rotating turret with a ball bearing mount. The turret has four holes and can accommodate a fourth objective. Both the turret and the included objectives adhere to the DIN microscope objective standard. Therefore, you can use any commercially available DIN objective with this microscope.

The supplied objectives have achromatic lenses which reduce color distortions introduced by imperfections in optical elements. Reducing these color distortions allows you to see sharper images and true colors. The parfocalled and parcentered design allows for switching objectives without having to realign your sample and without losing focus. The microscope also features a wide field 10x eyepiece and has a fine and a coarse focus adjustment.

The LED illumination system has adjustable brightness which is controlled by a rheostat. It delivers light intensity equivalent to that of a 20W incandescent bulb. The light from the bottom LED emitter is focused on the sample with a 1.25 NA Abbe condenser.

The 5.3 x 5.3" mechanical stage has adjustable height, a movable slide holder and allows you to move specimen slides in X-Y plane. The slide holder bracket holds your slides securely in place. The frame of the microscope is made of cast metal with gray enamel finish.

Included with the microscope are three rechargeable AA NiMH batteries, battery charger, a dustcover, and two Allen wrenches for rack stop adjustment and eyepiece socket tension adjustment.

Q: 6. Want to buy the Celestron Digital Microscope, but advertised shipping cost starts at US 12.26 to Australia, but when in cart, shipping price is much higher. What is the cheapest shipping cost as I can not afford high prices? Thanks, Jan Osinga.

A: You may calculate your actual shipping options/order totals by adding the items you want to a shopping cart. It will then list the shipping options, descriptions, ETA's and fees to your location. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to reduce the international shipping fees you see listed on our website for any product. We understand that sometimes we may not be the most prudent choice to shop with in regards to shipping a single small item overseas. The rates posted on our site are the rates posed to us by the respective carriers we use. You may wish to wait until you have a larger order to place so that the shipping cost would be absorbed, or try to get a few colleagues to place a single order together so that the shipping costs would then be absorbed.

Q: 7. We would hook this system up to Verizon landline on which we have Verizon voice mail. Will this phone indicate when there is voice message waiting in our Verizon voice mail?

A: I am not seeing any compatibility with external voice mail services.

Q: 8. Does the backpack have a removable camera cube that can also serve as a carrying should bag/case as the smaller version?

A: No, this one does not have a separate internal camera cube.

[40x, 100x, 400x] Item was shipped fast and promptly. The microscopes works as advertised. You will need to buy blank slides. The lcd screen works much better than standard eye pieces. It is very lightweight and does not take up much space in your home. Don't believe all the negative reviews about this scope. You can see all kinds of living organisms in one drop of pond water. The attached images are some kind of egg sack. (Not sure what it is) that I found in a drop of pond water. Photos were taken from the Pentaview. You can also record video. Comes with a 4 GB SD memory card.

[Yes] I bought LCD microscope for my school-age children. Son and daughter studied all the collections of insects and minerals in one week. Their eyes are burning interest in new discoveries. Microscope worth the money. B&H guys many thanks!

[Battery] This is an excellent field microscope. It's easy to use, the images are clear and the unit seems to be built very well. At this point I can find nothing to list on the downside; only time will tell.

[10x Wide Field] Somebody had a question whether this works with a Mac. It does. Simple to set up. Optics seem decent. I think one of these would satisfy a kids curiousity. I'm going to use it to look at styli for wear.

[10x Wide Field] The digital camera and viewer are second to none. It is better than what is available to me in my science department. As to its limits, I can dimly make out fuzzy bacterial cells on a professionally prepared bacterial microscope slide - as one would expect for 400x without phase contrast or an oil immersion lense. The image quality for eukaryotic cells is crystal clear and outstanding. The batteries fit in the battery compartment just fine and the electric plug also works just fine. The light on the tetraview cannot penetrate a leaf but I have worked with professional scopes whose lighting is powerful enough to penetrate a leaf without further sectioning to make it thinner. Overall, it seems to be a very good product that is professional grade in most of its components and optics. The digital components are outstanding. The light is sufficient, but I think some professional scopes have a more powerful light. Some of the parts, such as the little metal arm that holds a slide in place, seem a little bit more flimsy than a professional scope. I would still rate this scope very highly and it certainly exceeded my expectations.
