The Shure P10R+ Wireless Bodypack Receiver Kit with SE425 Headphonesfrom Shure P10R+ Wireless Bodypack Receiver Kit with SE425 Headphonesis an updated version of the P10R low profile, diversity bodypack receiver for the PSM 1000 wireless personal monitor system (sold separately). The receiver has a slim and compact extruded aluminum construction for easy placement on a performer and offers improvements like more headroom, better stereo separation, and higher fidelity for robust RF performance and touring-grade features. Featuring full bandwidth RF scan, Front-End RF filtering, and automatic RF gain control, the P10R+ meets the needs of professional audio application of all sizes, including IEM and IFB applications.

The receiver syncs easily to a P10T transmitter over an IR link using the built-in Scan and Sync function. Volume and balance controls are provided for easy customization. A selectable 4-band parametric EQ is also provided. CueMode allows you to monitor different stage mixes, as well as store up to 20 different channels on a single bodypack. The receiver also includes audio and RF status LEDs, as well as audio level and battery life metering. The P10R+ operates on a pair of standard AA batteries for 4-6 hours of continuous use, and it can also be used with Shure Li-ion rechargeable batteries for extended life. The P10R+ has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and is compatible with all Shure SCL sound isolating earphones, which are designed specifically for use with PSM systems.

Q: 1. does it work well with quantum flash ?

A: I have not used this trigger on a Quantum Flash, I've used them on a old set of Novatron Strobes and they work magnificently. I would recommend this item, two thumbs up!

Q: 2. If I get it with 'mic & remote cable for apple' does it also come with the clear cable for the headphones?Not sure why they don't release a mic control cable in the clear version.

A: SE425-CL comes with fixed clear cable only. The SE425 kits with control cable comes with an additional black control cable (standard one-button is the CBL-M-K, and the 3-button Apple one is the CBL-M+-K-EFS). Both of these Control/Mic cables are available in Black only.

Q: 3. I have a few older Nikon flashes and I need to know will this work with a Nikon SB28 and SB26 speedlight?

A: I put my flashes on Manual power and take them off of the setting that lets them go into standby.. if they go into standby then you have to fire once to get out of standby and then fire again to trigger the flash.

A: While B&H does not carry Paul C. Buff lighting equipment such as the AlienBees monolights, their monolights use the 1/8" (3.5 mm) miniphone sync terminal on the back of the unit. As the Vello FreeWave LR Kit with 2 Receivers, B&H # VERFWLRK, includes a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm Sync Cable, yes, you may use this wireless flash trigger kit with their monolight strobe fixtures.

Q: 6. I currently have been using Pocket Wizards, and they keep quitting on me! I'm looking at the Vello FreeWave LR Wireless Flash trigger and receiver kit. Is this something that will work similar to my Pocket Wizard with Nikon D750 and monolights? Cindy

A: Yup! They're functionally identical to Pocket Wizard Plus models. The FreeWave receiver's hotshoe makes it easier to mount in many circumstances, too.

Q: 7. Does this unit require an antenna management system?

A: No, in fact if you notice each of the antennas has an output just below the inputs. This unit basically behaves like an antenna distribution system.

Q: 8. Will this work with a G3 112 transmitter? For IEM and camera hop situations?

A: This item is not compatible with the G3 series. The Sennheiser EK 2000-IEM is a wireless bodypack receiver for in-ear monitoring compatible with 2000 Series wireless transmitters.

Q: 9. Compatible with Olympus OMD?

A: Yes, that will work with most cameras with a regular hotshoe. The Flash Trigger LR is not TTL. It is manual so it will work with strobes and moonlights. And with speedlights that have a manual function.

Q: 10. Will this work with Nikon sb700? I'm shooting with the Fuji xpro2

A: It will fire the flash, but you will have to use manual exposure settings.

[>90 dB] This is my first in ear monitor set up. As a drummer in a hard rock band, I highly recommend getting rid of the wedge monitor and going in ears all the way. This wired pack works perfectly right out of the box. I had it ready in just a few minutes. It sounds great, the AA batteries are still going after one 3 hour practice and a 3 hour live set. 5

[>70 dB] I searched the st looking for a neutral sound, all of the reviews pointed to these and they were right. While not the cheapest, they are one of the most clear sounding ones I have used. The variety of sleeves allow a custom fit without the cost of a custom ear piece. I use the foam and they are great noise blockers along with great outside noise blockers. 5

[0.92 lb] This is my second pair of Shures, wore out the first pair after at least one hundred thousand air miles. Also have a pair of Bose QuiteComfort. What I found for me was I was able to sleep better while on 15 hour flights with the Shures, also the sound is much better. 5

[<1 Ohm] I like the sound of this in-Ear headphones and this is the first one that fit very well in my Ears. Feel comfortable and no any pain after two using hours. Actually, the main reason that I ordered this one is the quality of sound. I used other in-Ear headphones before and always had a problems with sound and pain in my ears. If you are carrying about good quality of sound that strongly recommend for the purchase. 5

Initially, as many have reported, they can be slightly painful, but I believe the material softens up over time, I've had them a few weeks now and they don't hurt at all. I had owned a set of similar Shure earbuds for years, they were great! They had survivied a severe rain storm (I figured that'd be the end of them, but no), and I accidentally ran over the with my motorcycle, yet they kept going strong. Ultimately it was the cord that finally failed, but the ear buds themselves and the speakers inside them still work great. These new earbuds, with the replaceable cord, should last forever. They're well worth they cost in my opinion. 5

I am now so glad I purchased these headphones....the dynamic range and accuracy of these headphones is impeccable. The noise-canceling ability is, frankly, scary.
