[1.515 lb] Have been using this device for over 2 months and haven't had a single issue with it. Setup was extremely easy. Just follow the simple instructions. Had it up and running in 15 minutes. My setup includes dual monitors, VOIP soft phone (phone works through my laptop) and video conferencing. No throughput issues with all of this traffic running through the Startech dock.

Wherever my computer goes the IOGEAR is going to accompany it. For me, it is a must-have solution to connect with older devices.

[1.515 lb] I bought this to run a second monitor using the USB3 port. My MacBook Air runs the latest Monterey 12.3.1. Once all was plugged in, which was all of 3 cables, plugged in the Power, the USB cable and an HDMI cable, I simply downloaded the drivers for the Mac 12.x and installed. Once the security permissions were granted the 2nd monitor sprang into life. One small issues (not much of an inconvenience), when I boot the laptop from cold I do have to run the DisplayLink Manager app for the second monitor to work. Like I said not really an inconvenience a I added the app icon to the taskbar.

[1.515 lb] It is very useful to extend a Windows 10 laptop with a USB-C video output to two external 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 monitors along with other wired USB Type-A accessories like a keyboard and mouse.

To have two external monitors, you must have Windows (not a Mac) and you must use the Mini DisplayPort output for one of the monitors with a cable that connects directly to a Mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort input on a monitor.

Also, make sure that you connect it to a USB-C port on your laptop that supports video output.

I have a laptop that uses the integrated graphics of an i7-8550U Intel processor connected to 2 HP 2415U 1920x1200 monitors, one using HDMI and the other using the Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable that comes with the monitor, and it works great.

This allows you to have a 3-display setup at work (including the laptop display) that only requires a single cable to connect and disconnect your laptop as you start and end your work day.

It was 4 stars for me because all of this was not obvious and required some research and experimentation on my part, but now it is 5 stars now that I know how to use it for 3 displays.
