  • In the heart of the KingKORG NEO lies its meticulously designed filter section, a cornerstone in defining the synthesizer's unique sonic character. The KingKORG NEO is infused with a diverse range of filters, each adding a distinct flavor to your sound creations, an aspect where analog modeling truly shines.
  • The KingKORG NEO's filter collection is a treasure trove for sound designers. It encompasses a wide array of essential analog modeled filter types, enabling you to sculpt sounds with precision and ease. Korg painstakingly modeled filters that echo the iconic analog monophonic synths of the '70s—the go-to for punchy leads and deep basses. They also captured the essence of polyphonic synths, from the vibrant new-wave era of the '80s, and legendary filters from the legendary MS-20 analog synth.
  • One of the most captivating features of these filters is their ability to self-oscillate when you dial up the resonance—a hallmark of classic analog synthesis. This capability opens up a world of sonic possibilities, from creating ethereal textures to crafting powerful, resonant tones.

  • Comes equipped with a balanced XLR input on its front panel and includes a rugged, high-quality microphone. The vocoder features a sophisticated 16-band filter rivaling dedicated vocoder machines. Craft classic vocoder tones and more. By shifting the filter frequency with the formant shift function and finely adjusting the level and pan of each band, you open the doors to an array of unique and original sounds. Whether you’re aiming for vintage charm or contemporary edge, this vocoder adapts effortlessly to any genre or style.
  • Timbre B can ingeniously be used as a modulator, providing an alternative to the traditional microphone input. This allows the vocoder effect to be seamlessly blended with the synth sound, paving the way for limitless sonic exploration. Moreover, each of the three oscillators, A and B timbres, can be individually selected as a source for the microphone input. This unique feature enables you to synthesize a rich mix of voice and instrument, creating a fusion of timbres that’s both innovative and captivating.

KingKORG NEO's extensive library of 200 stage-ready preset programs is created for the modern music maker. These presets span across eight categories like SYNTH, LEAD, and BASS and offer an intuitive gateway to finding the perfect sound for any scenario.

The KingKORG NEO elevates your sound with three master effect slots, each offering six distinct effect types.

  • The PRE FX slot brings the grit and edge of effects like distortion and amp simulator.
  • MOD FX infuses your tracks with the classic charm of phaser, chorus, and tremolo.
  • For creating expansive atmospheres, the REV/DELAY slot offers ambient effects including hall reverb and modulation delay.

Adjusting and selecting these effects is straightforward, thanks to dedicated dials on the front panel for each slot, complemented by FX control knobs for detailed fine-tuning.

Embrace the spirit of classic synthesizers like the MS-20 with the KingKORG NEO's innovative Virtual Patch system. This intuitive feature brings the flexibility of physically patching synthesizers into the digital age. With six Virtual Patch assignments available for each timbre, you can virtually connect control signals like EG, LFO, or joystick movements to key sound parameters, including pitch and cutoff. This seamless integration allows for intricate modulation and a deeper exploration into sound-shaping, giving your music a new dimension of sonic creativity.

The KingKORG NEO comes equipped with a versatile step arpeggiator, a tool that breathes life into your performances by automatically generating arpeggio phrases based on the chords you play. Tailor your sound even further by selecting from six different arpeggio types. You can specify the duration, interval, and on/off status of each step, opening up a vast array of rhythmic possibilities.

  • The KingKORG NEO is designed with an original panel layout that combines the classic feel of analog synthesizers with the best of today's technology. Its layout is thoughtfully organized into blocks, streamlining your workflow by putting the right controls at your fingertips as you edit.
  • The oscillator section boasts a dedicated display showing the name of the currently selected algorithm. With a simple turn of the adjacent dial, you can browse through the options, see descriptive names, and quickly jump to different categories like ANALOG or DWGS. The control knobs are strategically placed to adjust the most crucial parameters of each oscillator, allowing you to experience the tactile satisfaction of shaping sound in real-time.
  • Enhancing this intuitive experience, the KingKORG NEO features dedicated dials for each of its three master effects. This setup makes experimenting with different effects and hearing their impact on your sound as straightforward as it gets. And thanks to the self-luminous organic EL display, visibility is crystal clear, whether you’re under the bright lights of the stage or in a studio setting.

The Favorites function lets you recall frequently used programs upon a single touch. You can assign a total of 40 programs to the eight category favorite buttons for easy recall.

[9.9 lb] The Korg Minilogue is a SUPER fun & intuitive analog synth for everyone from beginners to seasoned synthesits. I've been programming synths for 20 years and this was just as fun as the first synth I ever used. Its analog sound is wonderful and thick. Almost everything has a knob or switch for control and, for the patches I was making, I never went into the menus for further editing beyond naming patches and setting sequencer settings. The shape control of the oscillators gives a lot of variation to your standard waveforms and the sync/ring-mod, cross modulation, & pitch envelope of oscillator two really open up the sonic possibilities. I very much enjoy the dedicated switch for velocity modulation of the filter cutoff and I like that there are only two modulation depths beyond none. My favorite feature of the Minilogue is the envelope modulation of either the rate or the intensity of the LFO. This really gives a sense of motion to what is already a sense of motion from the LFO. My only complaint is that the LFO doesn't go fast enough for analog-FM style tones. It's not nearly as fast as the LFO on the Monologue but that's more of an observation that a full drawback. I really enjoyed the different voice modes of this synth, really finding mono, which introduces a variable level sub, and chord, which creates various fixed chords, to be the most useful beyond the standard poly mode. This is by far the best poly synth I have ever found for someone who is interested in learning analog synthesis. The knobs and switches along with the actual layout of them makes programming make sense and a joy to use. The Minilogue does have mini-keys but the mini keys Korg has been using for their new synths are really great. Much better than the microKORG. With the Minilogue, Korg really show us that there will always be room for one more analog synth.

[24 Voice] Been waiting for so long to get my hands on one of these! Ever since I opened the box I've been in love. For the price point you can't beat it. I've been using the Korg R3 for about 5 years and a Roland SH-32 for about a year, this is a perfect addition to my setup! If you're in the market for an analog synth.. BUY THIS ONE!

[Oscillator] The Minilogue is a really fun to use synthesizer, with an immediate interface to tweak and a great sound, while also affordable. At first I wasn't so sure about its sound, but had a test drive and it really impressed me (all 3 times in consecutive days). Even as an affordable synth, it has its own thing and can sound amazing. Been using it mostly for pad and keyboard(ish) bell sounds, and it is great at it. Throw in an external delay pedal and you're good for days. Sound-wise, it doesn't have the aggressively low end you find on other synths, but it is very good at mid-range. I love the filter tonality, and while not the most versatile beast, it is certainly capable of doing some impressive things. The hardware is also very well made for what you pay... good metallic plate on top, mini-keys that are way better than traditional ones, all necessary tools for customizing simple and complex sounds (although limited in terms of modulations), nice knobs and switches, ideal size (love this small footprint). There's a single thing I don't enjoy much: the pitch bend lever. I'd rather have a single modulation one... this aside, an amazing little synth.

[1x DCA] The minilogue is a full fledged 4 voice polyphonic analog synth with 1 LFO. You can save patches (200) and the oscilloscope is helpful for patch building. When recalling patches, there are several options for the knobs too-- the default is to 'jump' to the value that the knob is turned to, but there is also a 'catch' option that won't change the parameter until you move the knob to where it was in the saved patch-- this is very helpful for live performance to ensure smooth parameter transitions! I have been using in both studio and live setting. Overall a surprisingly well made and feature-full analog synth... hard to believe korg packed everything in at such a low pricepoint for analog polys!

[Analog] The Korg Volca Keys is a fantastic sounding analog poly synth even if it were more expensive. This can really get pretty fat too. I love the Volca Keys so much that I made a sample library with it using motion recording and doing two passes of each sound to give me stereo imagining of the LFO phase. If there's one thing that's greatest about it, it's the filter. Korg filters are the best and this filter, based on the miniKORG 700S, is no exception. The different oscillator modes give it a wide range of sounds and one of my favorite features of this is the pitch envelope. The pitch envelope just really sets it apart from synths lacking such control. I've used this with its sequencer and that's totally fun for DAWless jams. I'm now also enjoying using it in sampled form. Every parameter is motion recordable except oscillator mode & resonance and you can motion record all other parameters without limit. I hope to always have a Volca Keys and I just know I'll only ever get rid of it if Korg comes out with a Volca Keys 2.

[Oscillator] I’ve owned Synthesizers since 1972. I currently own quite a few from several manufacturers, Behringer, Roland, ASM, Elektron, Modal, Teenage Engineering and Korg (Volca FM 2 and Sample 2) to name a few.

10 years in the marketplace this Volca Keys has really held up to the test of time.

Marketed as an “Analogue” Synthesizer in reality the control signals are generated digitally with the CPU using a 10-bit DAC giving it near-analogue resolution. So this is a Subtractive Hybrid unit; an analogue sound engine with digital control so dial tweaks and note info can be recorded into the sequencer/accessed over MIDI. By the way, this is a good thing not a negative at all.

It’s a pretty easy to use, straightforward, with no menu screen, pretty much a dial per function arrangement. Great for beginners but powerful enough for experienced users.

I did notice notice that some dials are translucent and some solid. As a rule I found the solid dials' movements can't be sequenced, but the translucent dials can be sequenced and are backlit red plus flash to denote which parameters are active or recorded in a 'motion sequence' (motion sequencing captures dial movements into the sequencer).  The tempo dials flash in time with the internal/MIDI-clocked tempo and each key/sequence step has its own LED too, convenient for letting you know what's happening at a glance within complex sequences
.
It has 3 sawtooth wave oscillators & produces great upfront three-note chords, dirty lead/bass lines, ring modulated sounds and detuned unisons. It also features octave/fifth mono modes, a versatile tempo-syncable analogue-style delay that does reverbs/bit-crushing (from the Monotron Delay) freeform unquantised flux recording and 1/1, 1⁄2 and 1⁄4 tempo modes.

It uses the great MiniKORG700s filter. The LFO has 3 waveforms: sawtooth, square & triangle which make for some great modulation variety.
The Volca Keys really packs a lot in, it's very versatile and a true value at such a low cost.

[1x DCA] You basically get a three voice analog synth with easily accessible modulation features that syncs with the other Volcas and runs on batteries.

It does tend to tear through batteries in my experience but that goes for all the Volcas and you can always plug it in.

[1x DCA] Great affordable analog synth to get the basic understanding of how a synth works.
