The SmallRig VB99 Pro Mini V-Mount Batteryfrom SmallRig VB99 Pro Mini V-Mount Batteryis an ultracompact, lightweight 99Wh professional battery that can support up to a 14A draw at a nominal 14.8V. This durable, travel-friendly battery is suitable for powering handheld cameras, drones, and gimbals. It features a fireproof aluminum exterior that is drop-proof, and its inner chip provides fast charging and overcharge, short-circuit, and over-current protection.

The VB99 Pro provides multiple accessory ports, including one 14.8V D-Tap output, one 8 VDC barrel output, one 12 VDC barrel output, one USB-C input/output, one USB-C output, and one USB-A output for powering various accessories, cameras, or mobile devices. The battery can be charged using a standard V-mount charger, an optional D-Tap charger, or by using the 100W USB-C input/output with a PD fast charger. [14 A] I definitely recommend this battery and its smaller sister. I've now used this in quite a few shoots - it charges my Sony FX3 and 5 monitor for the entire day. No issues with it (so far), the display is really cool and great to have, there are tons of ports, love it. My only criticism is that it doesn't lock super well to SmallRig's own v-mount adapter, but it could be that I got a problematic unit, not sure. Overall, highly recommended. 5

[14.8 VDC] This is a great little battery! Especially if you shoot on a camera with a small internal battery...for example the Canon R8. I not only can hook my camera up, but also a monitor and wireless lav pac if needed and run everything with no worries of changing batteries or recharging. The new outlet cover design is much improved over the older Smallrig VB99. Hopefully they will come out with a Pro model of the VB50 for an even smaller and lighter package. 5

[Lithium-Ion] If you are looking at this battery, then you most likely need reliable and long lasting power on set. Here it is. I have gone on multi-day productions, where I am behind the camera rolling for 8 to 10 hours, powering the camera down only a handful of times, and yet I still had ABSOLUTE peace of mind with 2 SmallRig v-mount batteries. The larger sizes are intriguing, but the 99 works GREAT! I have 2 in my gear bag, and I will be adding more along the way. Currently I have a setup for my FX3, running USB-C to USB-C for power, and I plan to do the same for the FX30 in the studio. AMAZING battery. I love SmallRig for their rigging components, but this battery really takes it to another level. Reliable long lasting power that also happens to be affordable. GET IT. 5

[Lithium-Ion] It might be a bit of overkill for my needs but I have a feeling I will now never run low on battery power with the R5C. Like others have said, the battery adds a bit of bulk to the rig but also works well as counter balance especially with a heavy lens like the RF 24-70 f/2.8 hanging out front. 5

[Lithium-Ion] Like all batteries I worry for it's effectiveness years down the line but so far this has been very reliable. I power my camera and monitor off this battery and it is easily handling over 5 hours of operating time. I am a big fan of the OLED battery capacity screen and if you don't have a v-mount charger these batteries can be recharged relatively quickly with a usbc cable. The VB99 is by far my favorite v-mount battery i've ever used. I will definitely be picking up another 99 and possibly a couple 50s for lighter operation. the VB99 does add significant weight to a handheld rig. 5
