Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. any stage box

A: You can use the Mini Stagebox 32 (SOMSB32R) or Mini Stagebox 16 (SOMSB), with the required MADI option card for the Vi1000.

Q: 2. I need to plug a device that requires 250w, would this adaptor work? What is its maximum wattage?

A: The Watson 3-Prong USA to 2-Prong Europe Power Adapter Plug, B&H # WATAGUSAE, is rated for 220-240V @10A which means it could handle up to 2200W. Keep in mind that this is not a voltage converter and will only work with dual voltage North American devices.

Q: 3. Is there a control surface (with physical faders), other than an ipad, for this unit?

A: I am not seeing that Yamaha offers a fader control surface for the TF rack version console. The closest option available at this time would be the Yamaha TF3 or TF1 console.

Q: 4. What's the difference between qu series and qu chrome?

A: Chrome has shiny knobs & faders, the regular QU has the black rubber-ish knobs.

Q: 5. can you add waves plugins ?

A: This system is Core Audio compliant. You may load WAVES plug-ins into your Mac for use with your current compatible DAW.

Q: 6. Frequency range and frequency response are...unpublished? I'd really appreciate info/ comment about these characteristics - what are the pros/cons, using the Roland CM-30 Cube as studio monitor(s)? Are they flat? & will I need a separate sub?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list those specifications. The Roland CM-30 was designed with the traveling musician in mind, and not the studio engineer necessarily, though in a pinch, it can be used for monitoring in the studio. You would be better served with a pair of JBL LSR 305's nonetheless; B&H# JBLSR305. With the use of two monitors, one can have a better stereo image of a stereo mix. The use of a sub is optional and not necessary; though having one is good for reference.

Q: 7. I want to use this with ProTools 11 is there a usb or a slot to put a converter in?

A: The Qu-32 features a built in interface and can be used with Pro Tools using the rear panel USB connection. The interface is class-compliant on Mac OS X and drivers are available for Windows systems.

Q: 8. Will this be good enough fro a professional recording studio ? Or will I get a much better sound from a Focusrite top priced? Or will it not be notifyable ?

A: I would say the QU-32C is good enough to operate in a professional recording studio, absolutely. The QU-32C is is capable of 32x32 channel recording/playback at 24-Bit and a 48kHz sample rate over USB-B to a computer. Beyond that, the AnalogiQ digitally controlled preamps offer excellent transparency, minimal distortion, and an incredibly low noise floor, with a warm, musical sound that some digital consoles lack. In comparison to high end Focusrite products, a Focusrite interface could offer a high sample rate (upwards of 192kHz) as well as a different selection of preamps, which could potentially be noticeable depending on your acoustic environment and the speakers you're monitoring through. But a Focusrite interface will lack the hands-on control that a console like the QU-32C can offer. Both are more than capable of operating in a professional studio environment as far as audio quality goes. Deciding between the 2 really depends on your workflow. If like hands-on control, then the QU-32C may be the option for you. But if you need to record at sample rates beyond 48kHz, a Focusrite interface may be the better option.

Q: 9. Does this have a hard limiter I can apply to all 32 inputs? (I have some screamers occasionally)

A: Yes. According to page 33 in the manual for the Allen & Heath Qu-32C; "At its extreme setting the compressor can be used as a limiter to prevent the signal exceeding a preset maximum level."

Q: 10. what do you have for this package ?

A: Recommended accessories are listed on this console's webpage. For specific product recommendations, please e-mail us at: ProAudio@a href= http://BandH.com target= _blank BandH.com/a

[Download] This is a significant increase in quality over past mixers I've used. It's also the first one I've used that's designed with keyboardists in mind. Well worth the price for a major step up! It has the features a keyboardist wants. Before you purchase, download the manual and read it for yourself: this thing is cool! If you have more than 4 stereo devices, I found it pairs nicely with a Key Largo.

[Download] This amplifier is, in one word, FANTASTIC. The power and sonic quality are beyond 5 stars. I'm using it with my Roland FP-90 piano. The sound is full, from high to low, and the mids have a nice punch. Plenty of power and the sound is out of this world! Shipping from B&H was excellent.

[Download] One of the best purchases I've ever made for my small home studio. I use this mixer that has great pre-amps to obtain a strong and clear signal for my live recordings for song lyrics. The Auto-Tune feature is one of the features I was interested in and this has worked beautifully to my satisfaction (reducing the amount of work I do for post-production pitch correction). The USB and Bluetooth features are a great addition in being able to transfer and listen to newly rendered material instantly on mobile devices. Talk about a time-saver! I've not even used all the features but feel when I do, I'll be blown away even more with the power and performance that this mixer offers. Finally, it will serve perfectly when I can take this out for live performances in the future. A very thrilled and satisfied owner here.

[Download] The speakers are strong enough to handle light vocals, keyboards and a drum machine/bass mix. I use two units to take advantage of the stereo functionality this allows. The portability is great. I have a 130 Watt-Hour battery that can run both units for 2+ hours so I can take them anywhere. Its nice having channel-volume and EQ knobs easily accessible on the front of the units. The speakers are very responsive to modest changes in bass/treble settings. So far I haven't had to use maximum volume settings - the speakers seem very efficient. I would recommend two.
