[Aluminum Alloy] I purchased this so that I can attach filters and lenses directly, but I realized I'd also need a step up ring in order to do that. Looking for one of those in 17mm to 52mm but having trouble finding availability. In the meantime, I've used it with an ULANZI 1.55 XT anamorphic lens which fits great and enhances the look of the video from my iPhone when shot using the Filmic Pro app. Video isn't professional, but neither am I as a photographer/videographer. I'm just an enthusiasts looking for inexpensive alternatives and this fits my needs.

[Aluminum Alloy] Bought this as a back up monitor rig for my RED Komodo. Works great with my Komodo rig for smaller tighter set ups. Also, a good back up monitor in the event my indie 7 run's out of juice.
