Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What would I need to mount a mirrorless camera to this?

A: Though this is boom arm is designed for mounting a microphone, you could adapt it for a camera with a CAMVATE 5/8" Female to 1/4"-20 Male Mic Stand Adapter, BH #CAC0988. An Oben BD-02 Mini Ball Head, BH #OBBD02 woud be a good option to allow for more flexibility of movement for positioning the camera.

Q: 2. What kind of nuts does this use? I never got any in the package and need to know the size.

A: Unfortunately specifications for installation hardware is not available. If you have purchased the unit and are missing components, please contact Customer Service here at 800-221-5743.

Q: 3. Can I use this shock mount with either the Blue Encore 200 or the Rode M3?

A: Compatibility:For smaller diameter microphones such as pencil-style condenser mics, most dynamic or condenser handheld mics and some cylindrical shaped ribbon mics. Both mics should work with this mount.

Q: 4. How wide is this piece? Can it hold an 88 key keyboard?

A: The main surface area has a width of 43 . Most 88 key keyboards will range from 50 to 60 inches in width.

Q: 5. How well does it fit the ATR2500 USB? Is there a hole for the Headphone output and volume buttons?

A: The ATT2500 fits the sub good . No there is no hole for the headphones output

Q: 6. Will this fit my Behringer B2 Pro?

A: No, the Behinger B2 Pro Large Diaphragm Microphone has a diameter of 56mm and the On-Stage MY410 Studio Microphone Shock Mount is for use with microphones that have a diameter of 42 to 48mm. A compatible model is the On-Stage MY430 Shock Mount for Select Studio Microphones (B&H # ONMY430) which is designed to fit mics that have a diameter of 55 to 60mm.

Q: 7. will this be suitable for a three monitor editing set-up?

A: From the size of the top level I'd say no.

Q: 8. What's the maximum height of the stand itself, not the boom pole?

A: The maximum height of the On-Stage SB9600 base is 80", and the boom extends to 89", so the maximum elevation of anything mounted on the stand should be close to 165" with more reach available with the 7" boom extension. Due to the shape of the stand, maximum mounting height would depend on the boom angle and how you manage to balance your microphone, but that would be a rough estimate for a best-case scenario.

Q: 9. Would this handle the blue Bluebird SL without being shaky or unstable?

A: You will be most pleased with this apparatus. Simple set up, appealing to the eyes and it will hold your mic securely without worry. I have used it with the audio Technica and a behringer which has slightly more weight than the mic you have selected.

Q: 10. Can you attach a Rode VideoMic (with a shoe mount) to this as-is, or would you need an adapter? If so which adapter?

A: An Onstage #MA100 is required to mount the Rode Video Mic on to this Onstage boom microphone stand.

[0.45 lb] So, honestly, I don't know if cables are really worth this kind of money. Good cables cost, but do they really cost this much? I'm not a manufacturer so I can't say. All I can say is that I wanted the best cables to minimize interference and signal loss and these fit the bill. I could have bought less expensive cables that caused disappointment and then I would be out that money, so I just went for the "best". Absolutely no disappointment and signals are very clean. I didn't needs the "stage" model, but I couldn't find the regular "Gold" in a 30-foot length. Now that I have Mogami cables connecting all of my equipment (and a wallet that has substantially less green), I have peace of mind. This brand is one that you will be very happy with if you can spend the money and not look back. Don't think about first costs or you'll cry but - later - you'll be glad that you used some of your 401k to get the best.

[Neutrik] I purchased this boom arm because I could not bring myself to pay $100 for the PS1. I am using the Rode PodMic on it and it works very well. The PodMic is a heavy microphone and I have no issues positioning it wherever I want. I like the included XLR cable as it looks less messy with the cable compact with/inside the arm. The tension joints are tight and work very well. I have been using it now for 2 months as a teacher having to now teach online from home and I very much love it! I'm glad I saved the money rather than going with the PS1.

[Blue] for 40 bucks you can't go wrong, i'm using it with a two pound mic, it holds it well and is sturdy and i like the built in xlr, it clips on easily and is secure. i recommend it if you are looking to not break the bank.

[Yes] I love that it comes straight out the box assembled and with the two options to either clamp it down or screw it into the wall. I never recommend using OEM screws though as I always prefer toggle bolts when I can. This definitely beats all those pricey boom arms, and I would highly recommend this to everyone!
