Q: 1. Can the Syrp Magic Carper PRO carriage and end caps be used with Syrp Magic Carpet (version 1)?

A: The SYRP PRO line of Magic Carpet only works with PRO labeled parts. The original (but also equally amazing) Magic Carpet line is not compatible with the PRO line. The end caps, and carriage not labeled PRO will work with both the standard, and Carbon Fibre line of Magic Carpet tracks. If you are going to do any traveling I would suggest looking into the Carbon Fibre line of the Magic Carpet. The PRO is designed to mainly be used inside a studio or on shoots where you need more robust stability as this thing is heavy but built like a tank trap!

Q: 2. How can I choose the right tripod to use with the magic carpet?

A: I would say most shooters will use two tripods without heads and screw directly into the 3/8'-16th holes on the slider bottom. Light stands could also be use with an adapter. This one is the quality I would suggest. Kupo Baby Ball Head Adapter B&H # KUKG014212.

Q: 3. Can this slider be used vertically?

A: The Magic Carpet has an in-built counterweight roller at each end, as well as a counterweight loop in the carriage, making it really simple to use vertically.

A: You are correct, the Vaddio USB 3 Extenders will support up to USB 3.1, not USB 3.2 as it is currently labeled on our listing. We will correct the listing.

A: No, unfortunately, the Syrp Magic Carpet 3.3' Medium Track with Carriage and End Caps Kit cannot be extended like the Syrp Magic Carpet PRO Short Slider Kit with Extension (60"). [Silver / Black] Eveything is great and the track is smooth. The other reviewer just got a bad track. It has a great design. Be careful with the brake on the carriage. You don't always have to fully lock it to stop your carriage, just half way works if it's level. Some try to force it to lock all the way when it's right out of the box and they mite breck it. Just be mindful of the carrage lock and it will be fine. That is the only low part I see everything else is awesome. 5

[Silver / Black] Syrp has come up with a great product combined with the Syrp short and long tracks making for a great camera slider The carriage has tension adjustment, built in bubble level, and study carriage lock. The end caps with the adjustable feet are interchangeable between the short and long tracks. On drawback on the feet is they dont click into place so you have to go by eye that you've adjusted both for to the same angle. That and the cost of the Syrp Genie Pan/Camera motion unit are the only drawbacks 5

[Silver / Black] I couldn't be happier with this new Syrp slider. Really well conceived and easy to use. I added a Manfrotto ballhead and a quick release plate on top of the carriage for quick placement of the camera (GH4). And the price just makes it even better! 5

[Silver / Black] I've used a bunch of sliders over the years and so far this is one of my favourites. The build quality is great, the modular design is smart and it's easy to manage on small crews or even alone. For the price you'd have a hard time finding anything else of this calibre. My only complaint is that it didn't come with a bag or protective case, there was a lightweight sleeve in the box for the short track but it's not sturdy enough nor big enough to fit the whole slider assembled and I think a carry bag should be an add-on option when you order the a kit. 5
