[powerCON Male] These connectors are perfect for transferring electrical energy between power supplies and amplifiers. The items I required were in stock and sold to me at a better price than the big store competetors. Shipping didn't cost me a dime (coast to coast at that!) and came with expedient delivery. I will purchase additional product in the future.

[14 AWG] This was my first experience with a PowerCON connector. I was impressed with the construction and the ease of assembly. Note that you need a T8 torx screwdriver to assemble this. I did not know that and was fortunate to be able to find one. It's not a real common size.

[powerCON Male] Although I have used many products with Neutrik powerCon connectors, this is the first time I have needed to fabricate cables with them. After downloading the assembly instructions, assembly was easy. If you follow the insulation stripping specifications, and use cable lubricant as recommended, the process is easy. A+

Overall great connector. Used these to make my own Quasar T-12
power connectors. Saved a ton of money doing it myself.

Just be careful. If you put it together, like I did, just to see how it works, you have to use some vise grip pliers to unscrew it.

It has a ratchet locking mechanism to prevent it from unscrewing.
You'll have to probably reset the metal spring washer, but it's no big deal. This information was hard to find on line.

[powerCON Male] You'll need a T8 torx bit and cable lube/jelly, but installation is quick and easy. The Neutrik HTAC tool is nice for getting everything tight, but you can hand tighten it sufficiently as long as you get the back bushing part over the O-ring in the middle to properly seal it. Detailed instructions can be found on Neutrik's website.
I use these to modify extension cords to power equipment in a Pelican case mounted with the male inlet Neutrik port that these connect to. I find it's an uncommon enough connector that the cables are less likely to walk away to be used for something else. It locks in solidly. I've installed dozens and I haven't had an issue with one yet.

[1.135 lb] I use these connectors as a DIY analog of Festool power connector. So, you can have a single cord going to your work area, very short power cords (less than a foot) attached to tools, and quickly connect/disconnect the tools to that one shared power cord. That helps a lot when there is not much space to work in, and makes tools a lot easier to put away. These connectors are surprisingly easy to install, basically just strip the cable and tighten three screws.
