Q: 1. Is there a short center column available for this tripod? Thanks!

A: There is a center column that you can bring up and lock into place - its probably about 8-12 inches if my memory serves correctly - were very happy with this product - it was recommended to us by a friend who is a professional photographer

      Q: 2. does this have a 3/8" stud?

A: Yes the Sirui R2204 Carbon Fiber Tripod has a 3/8-16 mounting stud for attaching a tripod head.

Q: 3. Is the included ball head the same as the Benro IN00 ball head?

A: It has the N00 ball head, which is similar but not exactly the same as the IN00. Works just fine on mine.

Q: 4. Could anyone please confirm the statement I got from the review of other source of this product "My tripod came apart while in use. The threads holding the ballhead mounting plate to the tripod are made of plastic, and they pulled apart.?

A: The threads holding the qr clamp are metal as well as the bottom threads of the ball head.

Q: 5. What kind of material the ball-head is made from?

A: Unfortunately, the specifications of the National Geographic Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Ball Head do not list what material the ball head is made of. It is made of metal, in my opinion it is aluminum.

Q: 6. Can you remove the center column?

A: The column on the Benro TSL08CN00 Slim Carbon-Fiber Tripod with Ball Head can be removed and turned upside down for low angle shooting if you remove the column completely there is no place for the tripod head to attach.

Q: 7. Where is this made?

A: The Vanguard VEO3+ 303CBS Carbon Fiber Tripod with Ball Head country of Origin is Myanmar (Burma).

Q: 8. What is the total weight of the tripod and the ball head?

A: Mine weighed in at 3.01 lbs. The description is misleading as it implies that the system only weighs 2.2 lbs. Even the legs alone weighed 2.4 lbs. The ball head weighed about 0.6 lbs.

Q: 9. What diameter half ball adapter does TSL08CN00 take? I want to use a small fluid head on occasion am looking for a lightweight compact adapter to make leveling easier. Thanks!

A: The CF is the same: 3/8 post with a 1 1/2 base.

Q: 10. Where can I find replacement stops for this tripod?

A: You can use the following replacement leg stops for Benro TSL08CN00 Slim Carbon-Fiber Tripod with Ball Head. [Carbon Fiber] I purchased this tripod for an upcoming backpacking trip to SE Asia. I wanted something light and durable that didn't take up a bunch of room. This thing seems to tick all the boxes! Feels durable and stable, while at the same time light as a feather. The detachable monopod is a game changer for me when I'm filming and for steady shots doing street photography. The twist style locks on the legs seem like the could be a hair better, but no real complaints! Definitely give this tripod a try if you're looking for an awesome travel tripod and don't want to spend $300-$600 for the other guys!

[3/8"-16 Male] I was looking for a light-weight photography (ballhead) tripod. Something that was carbon fiber. This checked all the boxes. I take it everywhere with me. Lately, I've even been taking it to video shoots.

[Carbon Fiber] A sturdy, lightweight tripod that's tall enough for astrophotography and can be configured to get the camera down low, too. Easily converts to a monopod that's long enough to keep me from straining my back. Nice case, too.

[Yes] I needed a low profile ball head to handle a Sony FS7 on a Cinetics Axis Motion Control System and this one has proven very reliable.

[3 Positions] I was a little skeptical at first. I wanted to keep the size and weight to a minimum without giving up quality and this tripod has proven to be an effective tool in the field after testing. It allows for a trinity lens system, one Sony camera, tripod, plus accessories in a small backpack (see photo), all coming in under 12 lb. (a little over 5 kilos). The tripod can be extended to nearly 60, but I use that level only to stabilize my 70-180 lens. The three foot level and below gives you maximum self-stability, which works fine for me. I can put a 10 lb. ballast bag under with 3-5 pounds of camera on top with confidence. Kudos to K&F, I think the overall design was pretty well thought out. Thanks B&H!

[4] Some very nice things about the Sunway: 1) The panning base doesn't slip, even with my 1Ds2 body and 300/4 lens. That's a pleasant surprise, and my biggest pet peeve about some other high-end heads, i.e. the Markins (I use a Q3 on my smaller tripod). The panning lock knob is larger than any other I've seen, all metal with large teeth to grip, and very smooth in its action. 2) The friction/lock knob also works like a charm. As with the panning knob, it's very large and easy to grip, and very smooth to operate. Most often I'll set the friction knob (on any head) to allow the camera and lens to sit still when untouched, but allow movement when I apply some force. This friction level is easy to set on the Sunway, and another big surprise, when I position the camera, let go, and then fully lock the knob, the ball position doesn't shift. This is a nice improvement from the previous Sunway DB-44 I tested last year, which allowed a long lens to pitch slightly forward. 3) This ballhead was delivered with a basic screw-type clamp, with index marks and an easy to see bubble level, but Sunway also makes a very nice lever clamp (which I've used with their DB-44), and a panning clamp I've read good reviews about. I'll guess one can order the XB-44 in any of those configurations.

[Yes] This is my first carbon fiber tripod and it's working fine so far, I bought it for my trip to Mexico, and so far is working as it should, light, sturdy and good looking.
