Q: 1. Will the medium rain sleeve work with a Nikon d 610 and a long tank like 80 to 200d?

A: I've used this raincoat on my D750 with a 70-200mm lens to shoot football games in the rain. Once I got used to working with the cover and my hands inside for focusing and shooting I had no issues and the camera and lens stayed nice and dry.

Q: 2. What size filter does the it take?

A: The millimeter size is 118mm The thread pitch is 0.75 B&H does not sell any 118mm filters.

Q: 3. Will this fit Nikon coolpix a1000?

A: A Coolpix A1000 will fit this case.

Q: 4. Will this cover a D500 with 200-500 lens on Wimberley gimbal head?

A: No, the LensCoat RainCoat Large Sleeve rain protector will cover the Nikon D500 with the Nikon 200-500mm lens, but not if it is mounted on a Wimberley gimbal head. A better rain protector would be the Vortex Media Pro SLR Storm Jacket Camera Cover, X-large: https://bhpho.to/2Y31JYh

Q: 6. Will the BodyBag Compact be a good fit for the Sony A1?

A: LensCoat BodyBag Compact with Lens (Black) BH #LELCBBCLBK will be a good fit for the Sony A1 with a compact lens.

Q: 7. Is there any difference in image quality between an angled or straight viewing eye piece?

A: Hello, There is no difference in image quality, only in how you place your eye to look through the spotter. The straight eyepiece is coaxial with the field of view, so it's more intuitive, but the angled is more forgiving in field positions. Best Regards, David Eickelmann, Swarovski Optik North America.

Q: 8. What's the magnification with the ATX/STX and BTX eyepieces when used with the 115mm objective?

A: Good Afternoon, ATX/STX have a magnification range of 30-70x for the 115 objective lens module. BTX has a fixed 35x magnification for the 115mm objective lens module. Best Regards, David Eickelmann

Q: 9. What is the minimum focus distance with the STX eyepiece at 30x? Thanks!

A: The minimum focus distance with the Swarovski STX Spotting Scope Modular Zoom Eyepiece (Straight Viewing) BH #SWSTXMES • MFR #49902 is the same for the 95mm: 15.7' / 4.8 m

Q: 10. How well does this fit the Sony 400 2.8 GM?

A: This would work well with a Sony Mirrorless camera and the 400mm f/2.8 GM. Used an A9ii and the 400 GM which is about 15 and half inches long without a lens hood.

[Neoprene] Spectacular optics that really enhances my ability to spend time glassing with greater ease. It’s not heavy but I wouldn’t backpack it on long treks unless I was going to set up for a while. The benefits of using both eyes and not having to squint and look with just one eye is very real and definitely help the user to be much more relaxed. This is one element of my spotting scope system and I’m very happy I’ve added it. After spending some quality time behind it, I would definitely buy it again and strongly recommend it.

[Neoprene] The eyepiece module is like having an upscale set of binoculars with a Swarovski objective. Performance wise the package is superb. Interpupil distance is easily adjusted and there is a useful headrest. Focus does require moving your hand to the objective focus ring. Otherwise it is nearly like binoculars. There is no zoom and magnification is set at 30x. The aiming assist, a small scope to the right of the right eyepiece is outstanding at perfectly aiming the scope. The aiming assist is not protected by the SOC, but it is removable with a bit of fussing with a screwdriver. The total package with a 95mm objective is not much heavier than with the ATX eyepiece, but the BTX is significantly larger in width. In summary, a great spotting scope. My personal desired improvements would be a very slightly closer interpupil distance for use by children, and a better way of removing or protecting the aiming aid. But it still gets 5 stars.

[Neoprene] I paired this objective lens with a Swarovski angled zoom eyepiece. I use this scope mainly for birding and the brightness and clarity are outstanding. I would definitely recommend this product.

[Neoprene] The binocular like setup makes it very comfortable In use. I paired it with the ATX 95mm objective and the image is bright even though the light is split into two paths. The image quality is as expected for a top shelf spotting scope. There is not much else I can add to ota optical performance. I will just mention a few things about it when in use.

I compared with the Leica scope in B & H and what made the sale was the focusing ring, it is so smooth and easy to grab and adjust when compared with the tiny and tight shell on the Leica Televid.

The focus aid works fine to help with aiming the acope but it seems cheap being entirely made of plastic, and the forehead rest, for me, is useless.

The BTX and 95mm ATX combination is a large scope and on the tripod, it is not very balanced when mounted on the balance rail.
It feels awful on a ballhead as it "wants" to drop off in all different sides all the time if I don't hold on to it tight while moving it around. So trying to following a moving object does not work with a ball head. It works fine on a video pan and tilt head but I think a gimball head may be better.

I am still looking for a set of tripod legs for this setup. I used a big manfrotto and a medium sized Gitzo but both have annoying vibrations. I am planning to test it on a set of wooden telescope legs.

A minor complaint: the covers for the oculars are on a leash, which is great, but that for the objective is not and I struggle to find a place to store that large front cover when in use.

[Neoprene] Very comfortable for long viewing sessions. Once you get your eyes adjusted from your previous scopes holds. Very confident in holding for mirage based wind holds. Using both eyes is a dream!

[Neoprene] Excellent for general birding scope needs, light enough to carry easily. If you only get one objective, I recommend this one. Very easy to click on to ATX ocular.

[Neoprene] able to sit and scope for hours without any eye fatigue

[Neoprene] I selected this objective lens to combine with the angled viewing eyepiece to primarily use with birding. This was the perfect size lens to meet most of my birding needs--it has great field of view, particularly combined with the extender. This makes viewing birds, ducks, owls, and mergansers which are quite a distance out on/over the Lake or fields--providing ability to easily identify and even see images of high detail. It is heavier than my other scope to carry long distances, particularly with the tripod, though, even as a small, older woman, it is not too difficult. I do plan eventually to get the 65mm to heft around longer distances.

[Neoprene] I couldn’t decide on the Swarovski ATX or BTX but after much hand wringing I ordered the BTX with the 95mm objective lens and I couldn’t be happier. My biggest concern was having a fixed magnification of 35x with the BTX vs 30-70x with the ATX. My concerns were alleviated after my first use with the BTX. I took the scope on a trip to Montana and found that I could watch elk and antelope for hours in a valley below without any eye fatigue, something that I would be unable to do with a traditional spotting scope. On the 4th of July I also able to watch the fireworks over a small town that was about 10 miles away. The air bursts filled approximately 1/2 of my field of view and the colorful air bursts were razor sharp and crystal clear. The Swarovski with the BTX is simply amazing and you’re able to see more with two eyes than with just one, even with the lower magnification. Try looking through a pair of binoculars with both eyes and then use just one eye as you would with a traditional scope and you’ll find there is no comparison. If you’re on the fence like I was, just get the BTX, you’ll have no regrets.
