Now built with 3nm process technology, the Apple M3 Pro delivers the performance you need without sacrificing power efficiency. The 14-Core CPU features ten performance cores and four efficiency cores. The enhanced 16-Core Neural Engine accelerates powerful machine learning models, making AI/ML workflows even faster while keeping data on device to preserve privacy. The M3 Max offers support for up to 96GB of unified memory.

With a 30-Core GPU, the M3 Max features Dynamic Caching, which allocates the use of local memory in hardware in real time. Dynamic Caching only uses the exact amount of memory needed is used for each task, which dramatically increases the average utilization of the GPU, resulting in significant performance increases for the most demanding pro apps and games. Hardware-accelerated ray tracing has arrived for the Mac. Ray tracing models the properties of light as it interacts with a scene, allowing apps to create extremely realistic and physically accurate images. A: I would recommend any expansion happening at the point of purchase. These units are not upgradable internally after that point. Now for Photoshop and illustrator, I would recommend the most ram that is feasible based on your work flow. Storage capacity can be modified with external drives after the fact if need be.

A: The interior height is 6 1/2 inches but if you remove the pad at the bottom the height is 7 inches, The width is 3 1/2 inches and the depth is 4 inches. I hope that helps

[5.3] This is my second MacBook Pro. The old one didn't tolerate excessive g-forces all that well. I love the new one even more. It seems to be a touch slower loading programs, but when working with photography, video and audio it is noticeably much faster. The colors are accurate and the picture quality is visibly sharper and cleaner. I now use this MacBook instead of my iMac 27 to do all of my editing. I highly recommend this computer. 5

[16:10] This is the fastest, coolest (temperature), and versatile computer I have owned. I have owned various MacBook Pro's (Intel era), iMacs and MacPros (cheese grate), so I know a little about OSX computers. I use Parallels sometimes to run Windows 11 Pro, and this computer does not disappoint. I use CT scans for work, and can seamlessly use the same software at work (Intel PCs with Nvidia RTX cards) vs. my ARM version Windows 11 Pro in virtual machine simulation. Manipulation of these 3D renders is comparable in speed (even though the software explicitly states that it was not optimized to use ARM chips). Haven't found anything that really slows it down. The computer is mostly cool all the time. The fans barely quick up, if at all, so it is really quiet. But most importantly, I use this computer day in and day out, and most of the time I can use it all day for three to four days before it is down to the 20-30% range where I start feeling anxious and then I plug it in. Charge up is super quick as well -- I think less than an hour to fully charge to 100% from a really low state of charge. So this is the first computer that I feel comfortable calling portable since I don't have to worry so much about finding a plug somewhere. For sure, a well built solid machine. The only cons I have to report is the weight -- I put a clam shell clear protector (which was not that heavy), but I feel that this laptop could be used as a weapon to defend myself if I had to (like the really old IBM mechanical keyboards if you are from my generation). Also, I think there is a small defect on the edge of my screen in the super thin black surround frame which is a purely cosmetic annoyance. I didn't bother to claim warranty on this since I figure it does not really affect the computer's functions. Overall, I would buy it again, although I probably would wait for the M4 that is coming out soon. Kudos to Apple again for creating such a nice piece of hardware. 5

[3456 x 2234] I used to be a PC fanatic, but my first 21st century Mac, a MacBook Air, drove my conversion to Mac fanatic (2010), followed by a Pro in 2012, and other Macs thereafter. My new MacBook Pro (16) is the best ever, even topping my loaded MacMini (M2 chip) in my office. (This MBP-24 is my third Mac with Apple silicon in it.)
