The N864A64B is equipped with two SATA ports that each support an HDD up to 8TB, for a maximum capacity of 16TB (4TB preinstalled). H.265 and H.264 video compressions keep file sizes manageable while maintaining the best quality possible.

This NVR supports two-way audio. An HDMI and a VGA port enable video output to an external monitor at up to 4K UHD resolution (HDMI output only). Lorex Home and Lorex Cloud provides remote management via your iOS or Android device and your Windows or macOS computers.

[2x Internal] I needed to place a camera around 1000 feet from the NVR. Lorex said that their ePoE technology could do that. I bought the system with 16 nocturnal vari focus 4K ePoE cameras. Lorex sent a N884 NVR instead of the N883 that has 8 ePoE ports. To fix this I was sent a 8 port ePoE switch. With 1000 feet of Cat6 cable, with T568A wired ends... it works perfectly. I'm very happy with my choice. I had a Q-See IP PoE system so I was able to use existing Cat6 wiring for the new cameras. I do notice that night time images are clearer and I can identify wild life at approximently 80 feet away with no supplimental lighting. Still learning to use the lorex cloud app. Still need to tweek some settings and adjust camera posistioning to use the vari-focus lens. Oh... vari focus lens can be adjusted on the 1000 foot cable, fyi. Thank you Lorex for EpoE.. 5

[1, 4, 8, 9, 16] I had an older version just like this but only an eight port so I updated to the fusion so I can do Wi-Fi and a 16 ports instead of 8 ports so far so far it works flawlessly I added a 6 terabyte drive I'm sitting at 10 terabyte and I can get about 25 days out of it or something I've continuous recording it's pretty awesome 5

[2x SATA] The NVR was very well packaged. I installed a 10TB additional drive immediately before attaching the NVR to my existing 8-camera system. The NVR uses an entirely new style motherboard which seems to be about half the size of the old one (N882). Startup & initialization were flawless and EZ. The included instructions were for the 'Cloud' system, but this NVR only works with the 'pro' system, no problem; the pro app works well on all my Apple platforms. Seemingly high quality, excellent operation, hope it lasts longer than the previous one (3 years). 5

[16] After struggling with an off-brand system I purchased the Lorex POE system and found it to be straight forward and easy to install. The supporting software for smartphones and windows computers has worked well and when I contacted support for some guidance they led me in the right direction. The system is laid out logically and easy to customize to your own preferences. The off-brand system kept going offline and this system has been up and running from the first day it was installed. 5
