[Chocolate Brown] I am a Leica and Canon user. Like most people with some expensive gear in their bag I soon found myself looking for a bag a bit less conspicuous - ie: looks like a regular bag. So the solution I arrived at was to buy an old leather bag from a Thrift store and a Large Hadley Insert from B&H. And the solution works brilliantly! Not only did the insert fit the bag perfectly but there was both much more room and protection than i thought there would be. The quintessential quality of Billingham is very evident in the product; the materials used are very nice and the manufacturing quality is great. Possibly the only down side to my new bag (as opposed to my old lowepro) is the lack of any weather sealing. From rain it is quite well protected but from dust and sand it is not. I guess whether you choose a solution like this as opposed to say a Lowepro bag will be depend on what type of pictures you take but for street photography, documentary and reportage I can't really find a better solution than the Large Hadley Insert by Billingham.

[Chocolate Brown] This insert has given my 25 year old Hadley bag a new life, even better than when new. The new insert offers more protection over all than the original as well as the opportunity to customize the sections. I’m very pleased with this product.

[Chocolate Brown] What a  greatly improved insert compared to my old insert. My bag is at least 15 years old and looks like new still except for the old tired insert that came with the bag. Its the original light gray one with the sewn in place dividers that made setting up the bag difficult at times. The new insert is constructed much better and now has movable horizontal and vertical dividers that allow you to get it just right. As usual B&H Photo was an absolute pleasure to shop with.

[Chocolate Brown] I use this insert with an old messenger bag to make an inexpensive but functional camera case. The insert is big enough to hold my Nikon D80 with the 70-300 lens attached with plenty of room for a couple of smaller lenses and some other stuff. Padding is good and the inserts allow for lots of cusomization.

[Chocolate Brown] My old Hadley Pro insert was looking kind of sad and the velcro-like sticky stuff was pretty worn so I went ahead and replaced the whole shebang. The new one looks better and the dividers grab and hold like they should. It fits and it is a direct replacement. But, really, the old insert is still in pretty good shape after well over 15 years of use. Rather than toss it out, I cleaned it up and it's still completely usable. Just like the bag itself, the insert wears like super-hardened steel. It also protects equipment well beyond its weight class. My old insert was used with Leica, Olympus and Panasonic equipment over the years--all smaller cameras that supplemented larger DSLRs. The Hadley bag kept them all safe and secure through many miles and a lot of bumps. I'm now using Fujifilm for my lightweight equipment I expect this new insert will keep it safe for years to come.
