Q: 1. I have a Peak Design Capture Plate on my camera. Is that plate compatible with with Tripod?

A: Yes! :) Both Peak Design and this tripod use the arca-swiss system.

Q: 2. Can you remove the center column?

A: The column on the Benro TSL08CN00 Slim Carbon-Fiber Tripod with Ball Head can be removed and turned upside down for low angle shooting if you remove the column completely there is no place for the tripod head to attach.

Q: 3. can a gimble head be attached to this tripod?

A: Yes a gimbal head can be attached to this tripod.

Q: 4. What is the total weight of the tripod and the ball head?

A: Mine weighed in at 3.01 lbs. The description is misleading as it implies that the system only weighs 2.2 lbs. Even the legs alone weighed 2.4 lbs. The ball head weighed about 0.6 lbs.

Q: 5. What diameter half ball adapter does TSL08CN00 take? I want to use a small fluid head on occasion am looking for a lightweight compact adapter to make leveling easier. Thanks!

A: The CF is the same: 3/8 post with a 1 1/2 base.

      Q: 6. does this have a 3/8" stud?

A: Yes the Sirui R2204 Carbon Fiber Tripod has a 3/8-16 mounting stud for attaching a tripod head.

Q: 7. Is the included ball head the same as the Benro IN00 ball head?

A: It has the N00 ball head, which is similar but not exactly the same as the IN00. Works just fine on mine.

Q: 8. i have a peak design capture plate on my camera. Is this tripod compatible with that?

A: Yes! :) Both Peak Design and this tripod use the arca-swiss system.

      Q: 9. Will this be a good tripod for a Nikon D750 + Tamron 15-30mm G2? Approx 1960g. I do mainly (like 99.99%) vertical shots.

A: Yes and No. Tripod legs will hold fine, but not the head. Get a better tripod head like the K-20 II or K-30 II, and pair it with a L Bracket for vertical shots.

Q: 10. Is the HEIPI KF50-Q Ball Head compatible with the ProMedia PLCR56 Arca -Swiss L- Bracket?

A: The Heipi KF50-Q Ball Head (Locking Ring) included with the Heipi W28 3-in-1 Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Ball Head has standard Arca clamp. You will need to remove the safety screws in order to slide your L-bracket through the clamps.

[Carbon Fiber] I was looking for a light-weight photography (ballhead) tripod. Something that was carbon fiber. This checked all the boxes. I take it everywhere with me. Lately, I've even been taking it to video shoots.

[4] This is exactly what I was looking for in a travel/walkaround tripod for shooting stills with a mirrorless. It's small and light, but the build quality is confidence-inspiring. You always want a margin of safety with a tripod, and I would not want to use this with an 8lb DSLR setup, but it's wonderful with a 4lb mirrorless. One unusual feature I especially like here is that the center column is keyed so it won't rotate, allowing you to really positively thread on your ballhead. The center column is aluminum which I think strikes a nice balance between weight savings and sturdiness. I also like that there's no rubber or plastic overmolding on the leg locks, so you get a really positive lock action, which should stand the test of time.

The included ball head is usable, but it is a very poor showing, and is not nearly as nice as these legs. It has angle adjustment marks for panning, but no separate control for pan, so these are decorative, I guess? Ball smoothness is mediocre, and the integrated bubble level is hidden underneath the plate, which itself is really small with hard plastic inlays at the attachment surface, so you don't get much friction. It also features not one but two fixed stop pins, for maximum frustration. I replaced this ballhead immediately with a Novoflex Ball19 I had around, and it is a superb pairing. Hey, the blue even matches!

Overall, these legs occupy a nice niche, offering quality but fairly-priced lightweight tripod that is ideal for mirrorless shooters who want to keep it light and minimal. I think the asking price is a fine value for the legs alone, so I rate this 5 stars, in spite of the throwaway ballhead. It is surprising that Benro doesn't include something nicer here- I love the ballhead on my little Benro Tablepod, so they clearly know how to make a solid lightweight ballhead.

[Yes] I have an A7Rv with some chunky lenses. This tripod handles everything like a champ! I have absolutely no hesitation loading this down with gear.

The Good:
Height!!! This thing goes WAY higher than I need. It's truly laughable; but is still solid.

The Meh:
The ball head works. The is slight sag when you're locking down the angle. But it's no worse (and likely better) than any other tripod with sag issues. I guess if you want to avoid clamping sag, you'll need to spring for a high-end ball head. But the tripod itself is a very decent performer.

The Conclusion:
I think I got this on sale for close to $100 (Maybe $110??). It seems like is constantly on sale.
Around $100, this is a no-brainer. At the listed price of $139, there are a few others that I would consider (3 Legged Things, SmallRig, Benro). I like this Neewer much better than the similar K&F.

It's a good studio-style tripod that's good for anything except long distance hiking. I'm loving it so far.

[3 Positions] I'm using this tri/mono-pod with a Nikon D500 and Nikon 80-400 lens. Using published data, this setup is approx 5.5lbs. The legs are very sturdy. Expect to tighten the ball head really tight to eliminate all droop. Or else aim a little high and account for the droop. The trade off is that this is a very light travel travel tripod that converts to a monopod at a very reasonable price.

[Twist Lock] I purchased this tripod for an upcoming backpacking trip to SE Asia. I wanted something light and durable that didn't take up a bunch of room. This thing seems to tick all the boxes! Feels durable and stable, while at the same time light as a feather. The detachable monopod is a game changer for me when I'm filming and for steady shots doing street photography. The twist style locks on the legs seem like the could be a hair better, but no real complaints! Definitely give this tripod a try if you're looking for an awesome travel tripod and don't want to spend $300-$600 for the other guys!

[Twist Lock] A sturdy, lightweight tripod that's tall enough for astrophotography and can be configured to get the camera down low, too. Easily converts to a monopod that's long enough to keep me from straining my back. Nice case, too.

[Carbon Fiber] I was a little skeptical at first. I wanted to keep the size and weight to a minimum without giving up quality and this tripod has proven to be an effective tool in the field after testing. It allows for a trinity lens system, one Sony camera, tripod, plus accessories in a small backpack (see photo), all coming in under 12 lb. (a little over 5 kilos). The tripod can be extended to nearly 60, but I use that level only to stabilize my 70-180 lens. The three foot level and below gives you maximum self-stability, which works fine for me. I can put a 10 lb. ballast bag under with 3-5 pounds of camera on top with confidence. Kudos to K&F, I think the overall design was pretty well thought out. Thanks B&H!
