Q: 3. If this lens has an aperture range of f4 to f36 how can I choose f11 for depth of field if i need greater depth ?

Q: 6. Weight

A: This lens weighs 1.25 lb / 570 g.

Q: 7. Once I have this Z 24-200 mm lense, do i still need my original 24 -70 mm lens or can i sell it online?

A: The Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR Lens has a good zoom range but the max aperture is f/4 at the wide end of the lens and f/6.3 at the telephoto end of the lens. The max aperture of the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Lens is f/2.8, so this lens is much better in low light. For that reason it might be a good idea to keep both lenses.

Q: 8. Why would you choose aperture priority if it's fixed at f4-f6.3 ?

A: It allows the user to set a specific aperture value while the camera selects a shutter speed. It gives an end-user one less thing to worry about. The cameras internal meter will do all the work as far as shutter speed goes, we suggest using it while taking happy snaps at gatherings and etc so you can spend more time taking pics then worrying about exposure values.

Q: 9. Can a monopod be attached to the bottom of this foot?

A: Yes, the bottom of the Kirk LP-72 Replacement Lens Foot for Nikon Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S, Nikon Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S, and Nikon Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S Lenses has a 1/4 inch female thread like most cameras. It is best for a long plate like this to use an Arca-Style clamp or head on the monopod for the best secure connection.

A: The Wimberley AP-503 Replacement Foot for Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Lens is made for the Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Lens. The correct foot for the Nikon Z 400mm f/4.5 lens is the Wimberley AP-501 Lens Foot: https://bhpho.to/3P9GzBm.

[0.235 lb] I put my lens in this whenever I don’t have it in a case. Good protection.

[0.235 lb] I usually have a lens coat on my super-tele lenses, however I went with this and the XX Large hoodie instead for my new 500mm f4E VR FL. I got tired of the way the lens cost fit on the lens, you either have to remove pieces or deal with it. Lenscoats, especially the new ones cover up too much of the lens, such as function buttons, the five main switches, the drop-in filter holder, the manual focus ring. So I slowly started removing pieces until I had barely any left. So I decided to buy this instead and I really like it, it’s thicker and offers more protection than the regular lens coat. It’s on the lens when the lens is in the bag, either my thinktank Airport Accelerator or long lens bag. It’s easy to remove and put on and it protects the lens from getting banged up or scratched, etc. Once I bring the lens out of the bag and out of this, I put it directly onto my monopod or tripod and I’m careful. So far so good, my lens looks like new almost a year later and I’m no longer messing with the lens coat being in my way. For me this is the best option. Maybe someday they will make lenscoats for actually using your lens, but for now I’ll just use this to protect the lens when it’s not on top of my tripod.

[0.235 lb] This is much better than the bubble wrap and shelving paper I was using to protect my lens while traveling. It's light-weight and form-fitting so it does not take up any extra room.

[0.235 lb] Installs easily and protects against damage when one does not have space for the boxcar-sized Nikon case. Also handy keeping dust and grit from lens in blind situations when changing to smaller lens.
