Kodak Ektachrome E100 Film Pack 8x10 Sheets 10-Packis a daylight-balanced color transparency film characterized by its extremely fine grain structure, vibrant color rendering, and overall low contrast profile. The lower contrast values contribute to a wide dynamic range and a neutral tonal scale for greater color accuracy, and a low D-min helps ensure brighter, whiter whites. It has a medium-speed nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° when developed in E-6 process and the smooth grain profile pairs with a micro-structure optimized T-GRAIN emulsion to make it especially well-suited to scanning applications.

This is ten sheets of large format 8 x 10" film.

Q: 1. Hey there, I just want two be 100% sure... #1 This is 'reversal' film, which means I should be able to take a photo (on any 35mm film camera) and the film would come out in full color without me having to develop it, right? #2 How many film canisters come in this package? that's it, and thanks to any on who replys to this.

A: 1. You have to get the film processed/developed no matter what. When it's developed the colors you get will be correct and will not have to be reversed. 2. It one roll (canister) of film with 36 frames (photos) on it.

Q: 4. I do not find the info of expiry date... The product photo says its 04/2013. Could you please specify this? Thanks.

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

A: We sell this mailer where you can mail the film in and get it processed via the mail. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/18646-REG/Fujifilm_Slide_Processing_Mailer_for.html

Q: 8. is this film for slides?

A: Yes it is

Q: 9. How long does the film take to process one it arrives at the processing center?

A: The average turn around time is about 7-10 business days once your drop it off at the post office.

Q: 10. Does it work for the Kodak Colorburst 250?

A: This film would not work with a Kodak Colorburst 250, since that camera used specific instant film.

[200] I was fortunate, through a relationship with Kodak, to be a beta tester on this film stock. I shot it in a wide variety of conditions on a visit to NASA in Louisiana, and Art Basel in Miami. The prior was indoor mixEd lighting locations and rainy outdoor locations. Miami was the total opposite. Beautiful blue skies and loads of vibrant color and contrast. Obviously that is what this film is typically suited best for and certainly did not disappoint. But I was incredibly surprised at how good all the stuff shot in less ideal lighting conditions came out. This film isn’t nearly as limiting as a lot of people believe. This new stock has decent latitude and is very forgiving even in less than ideal conditions. For an added bonus...wet scan your negatives and they are showroom perfect right out of the gate. The colors were so accurate and the levels were so balanced I didn’t have to do a thing in post.

Best color reversal film I’ve ever used. Plan on stockpiling while it’s still in production.

[10 Sheets] This film is just gorgeous. The big advantage it has over negative film is that the colors are perfect. If you scan it, you don’t have to do a thing to it in photoshop. The colors I get from this film are better than any other photographic medium I’ve ever used. The big challenge is the lack of tonal range, especially highlights. Trust your meter at box speed, and avoid scenes with really bright highlights. Alternatively, meter for those highlights and accept that you will have very dark shadows. It is not terribly hard once you get used to it, and it actually forces you to pay more attention to the light.

[10 Sheets] I wish this wasn't so expensive, but it is truly a treat to shoot with. Great for scanning. I used this for a project where I projected them with darkroom enlargers (medium format projectors are hard to find.)

[E-6] As the transparency film market has narrowed over the years thankfully Kodak stood strong and released their later version of this Ektachrome E-100.
I've used this product exclusively for landscape work for more than 3 years now and find it meets my needs with wonderful results.

[E-6] And as always Kodak takes me there. Outstanding consistency and quality. The king of low ASA granularity always has been since E6. Highlight / shadow detail toe to toe every time. Fantastic color gradation with Cinestill CS6. But 1st developer must be 104, any deviation will skew the color balance. Best rated at ASA 75. Forget E4 Kodachrome, I have!
Oh. for the days of Ekta 200, 400, and Tetenol!!! Oh, for the granularity of Ekta 400!!!
