Sealed twist locks effectively prevent water, sand, or dust from entering the locks and the tubes.

The hollowed out tripod apex provides high-quality carbon fiber tubes, ensuring the tripod is easily carried on the road.

The counterweight hook under the apex allows you to hang a bag or backpack to further stabilize the tripod in windy conditions.

Carbon leg tube diameters of 1.5/1.4/1.3/1.1" ensuring stable support.

3-leg angle stops at 23, 55, and 85°.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the folded length of 20.1" including the ballhead or does the ball head add more height?

A: The folded length factors in the ball head.

Q: 2. i have a peak design capture plate on my camera. Is this tripod compatible with that?

A: Yes! :) Both Peak Design and this tripod use the arca-swiss system.

Q: 3. Can the center column be removed and the head attached directly to the apex of the legs? This tripod has a 2-section center column. Can the top section of the center column be removed and the head attached to the bottom section of the center column?

A: Unfortunately not. This is not a systematic tripod and will not allow for the head to mount directly to the legs.

Q: 4. Is the included ball head the same as the Benro IN00 ball head?

A: It has the N00 ball head, which is similar but not exactly the same as the IN00. Works just fine on mine.

Q: 5. Will this be a good tripod for a Nikon D750 + Tamron 15-30mm G2? Approx 1960g. I do mainly (like 99.99%) vertical shots.

A: Yes and No. Tripod legs will hold fine, but not the head. Get a better tripod head like the K-20 II or K-30 II, and pair it with a L Bracket for vertical shots.

Q: 6. Can I switch the ball head to the K-20X?

A: It is packaged with the Y-11 head. The head is removable & A K-20 will fit. If you don't already own a K-20, why not try it with the Y-11 first. It may be just what you need.

Q: 7. Can someone at B&H physically weigh this tripod in response to the multiple weights mentioned in the Q&A?

A: The weight of the Sirui A1205 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Y-11 Ball Head is 2.82 lbs, according to the Sirui website.

Q: 8. Where can I find replacement stops for this tripod?

A: You can use the following replacement leg stops for Benro TSL08CN00 Slim Carbon-Fiber Tripod with Ball Head. MeFOTO SMBP Replacement Leg Stops for BackPacker Classic S Tripod (3 Sets of 4 Shims) BH #MESMBP • MFR #SMBP https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1493738-REG/mefoto_smbp_leg_stops_for_backpacker.html

Q: 9. Will this support my Canon 5dMark IV with a 24-105mm lens in portrait mode without creeping?

A: We would say you should not have any issue of the ball head moving once locked. If you are doing a lot of vertical shooting, you should consider using an L bracket. Kirk BL-5D4 L-Bracket for Canon 5D Mark IV B&H # KIBL5D4. This will fit directly into the clamp on the ball head.

Q: 10. Does the head mounting area on this tripod have set screws to insure the head does not loosen in use?

A: Yes, Sirui R2204 Carbon Fiber Tripod has one safety screw on the center column base mount.

[25.2" / 64 cm] This is a small light tripod, easy to carry, fast to set up. Because of its reasonable price for carbon fiber, just $150, I bought it for a travel tripod with my Lumix micro four-thirds camera. Turns out it is rock solid and firm even when I mount my Canon 5D Mark IV with 24-70mm on it.
The built-in ball head is also excellent. Even though there is only one locking lever, it exerts smooth soft pressure, so there is no creep after set up. That is, I don't have aim the camera high because I'm expecting it to adjust itself down a bit after I've tightened the ball head. That said, I don't think I will mount my Canon 100 to 400 mm zoom on it! I'll keep my heftier tripod for that. But this Benro is replacing all my other tripods for all but the heaviest work.

[25.2" / 64 cm] I was a little skeptical at first. I wanted to keep the size and weight to a minimum without giving up quality and this tripod has proven to be an effective tool in the field after testing. It allows for a trinity lens system, one Sony camera, tripod, plus accessories in a small backpack (see photo), all coming in under 12 lb. (a little over 5 kilos). The tripod can be extended to nearly 60, but I use that level only to stabilize my 70-180 lens. The three foot level and below gives you maximum self-stability, which works fine for me. I can put a 10 lb. ballast bag under with 3-5 pounds of camera on top with confidence. Kudos to K&F, I think the overall design was pretty well thought out. Thanks B&H!

[25.2" / 64 cm] This is exactly what I was looking for in a travel/walkaround tripod for shooting stills with a mirrorless. It's small and light, but the build quality is confidence-inspiring. You always want a margin of safety with a tripod, and I would not want to use this with an 8lb DSLR setup, but it's wonderful with a 4lb mirrorless. One unusual feature I especially like here is that the center column is keyed so it won't rotate, allowing you to really positively thread on your ballhead. The center column is aluminum which I think strikes a nice balance between weight savings and sturdiness. I also like that there's no rubber or plastic overmolding on the leg locks, so you get a really positive lock action, which should stand the test of time.

The included ball head is usable, but it is a very poor showing, and is not nearly as nice as these legs. It has angle adjustment marks for panning, but no separate control for pan, so these are decorative, I guess? Ball smoothness is mediocre, and the integrated bubble level is hidden underneath the plate, which itself is really small with hard plastic inlays at the attachment surface, so you don't get much friction. It also features not one but two fixed stop pins, for maximum frustration. I replaced this ballhead immediately with a Novoflex Ball19 I had around, and it is a superb pairing. Hey, the blue even matches!

Overall, these legs occupy a nice niche, offering quality but fairly-priced lightweight tripod that is ideal for mirrorless shooters who want to keep it light and minimal. I think the asking price is a fine value for the legs alone, so I rate this 5 stars, in spite of the throwaway ballhead. It is surprising that Benro doesn't include something nicer here- I love the ballhead on my little Benro Tablepod, so they clearly know how to make a solid lightweight ballhead.

[25.2" / 64 cm] I was looking for a light-weight photography (ballhead) tripod. Something that was carbon fiber. This checked all the boxes. I take it everywhere with me. Lately, I've even been taking it to video shoots.

[25.2" / 64 cm] I bought this on the recommendation of Youtuber Joe Edelman. very light, yet sturdy for travel tripod. Benro makes an aluminum version of this for less money. Easy to carry. Ball head is small, but very smooth. I have used this in my makeshift studio with my crop sensor Canon DSLR and a fairly heavy old medium telephoto lens and got good results, but I just know it would be very easy for this setup to tip over - recommend using the weight hook on the bottom of the center tube. With everything extended fully, it is tall enough to be about eye level for me and I am 5' 10", but usually I will not use it fully extended. The center tube can be turned upside down to get the camera very close to the ground. Comes with a usable nylon fabric carrying case. I've seen a lot of tripods in this price range that just felt like junk - this feels like quality! Twist locks are easy to use, feel good.

[25.2" / 64 cm] I wanted a lightweight but sturdy tripod for film cameras, particularly my Nikon FM-2 and my Olympus OM-1. Small packing volume was less important and I didn't want to fuss with too many leg sections. I was willing to pay up to $200. This one at half that price is perfect for my needs. With the legs collapsed you can lock them or release them in one partial turn. Extended, of course, you must do all three locks on a leg individually. It's very stable, and even holds my Hasselblad 501C securely. The PU 30 QR plate is fine with most lenses, but there's a bit of "sag" after I tighten the ball head with a 200mm lens on the FM-2. A 60mm plate from Breakthrough Photography took care of that. I can't speak to its longevity, but it's so well made I'm confident I'll get a lot of service from it. This was a completely satisfying purchase.
