A: One section of the Sunwayfoto ET-01 Carbon Fiber Tripod Extension Tube is 24mm in diameter, and the other section is 20mm in diameter.

A: The legs of the Benro Mammoth 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod are not designed to be detached; the folded legs in the carry case would generally fit within FAA guidelines for carry-on baggage.

Q: 6. Does this come with a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter for the bottom thread?

A: Yes. The bottom is 3/8's with an adapter to make it 1/4. The top is 1/4 and it comes with an adapter to make it 3/8. I use the 1/4 adapter in the bottom and use the 1/4 thread in the top as it comes. I don't think I will need the 3/8 adapter for the top, but having them makes the product very versatile. The picture shows both adapters but you can't tell what they are.

Q: 7. Is there a mid-level spreader that is compatible with this tripod?

A: The Manfrotto 536 Carbon Fiber Video Tripod is not designed to be used with spreaders.

Q: 8. Whats the benefit for going with the shorter 500BALLSH over the 500BALL (or vice versa)? Personal preference?

A: They both work at the lowest tripod's position, but if the ground is not flat and has some important asperities like in the forest or mountain, I think the shorter the better, as it may avoid bumping on a root for exemple. I chose the 500BALLSH because I also use my Manfrotto head with the Manfrotto 529 Hi Hat. Same reason as above.

Q: 9. Does this tripod have a weight hook? If not, which one is compatible?

A: Sorry, but this tripod does not have a weight hook. If you want a weight hook, it appears you would have to get another brand.

Q: 10. How do you change the leg angle????

A: At the top of each leg is a release clip that allows leg adjustments to be made at set angles. :) In the pictures, the release clip is the part that says "Jobu Design Algonquin" on it.
