Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How much weight will the Avenger F809 Right Angle Baby Plate (Chrome-Plated) support? (I have a 17-lb. background) – Thanks.

A: The plate is a welded to a steel pin. The load limit will more be a matter of how you mount it and what you mount it too.

Q: 2. Is it compatible with an ELC 500 and a Mola Demi or should I add an another accessory ?Thanks for your answer.

A: ELC 500 Has a 5/8 receiver and the Mola Demi should work

Q: 3. can i remove the wheels??

A: Not without permanently damaging the stand. But there is no need to do so as the wheels all have VERY stable locking mechanisms. Once you lock the wheels, the stand won't move. In fact, locking the wheels also locks the rotation of the caster, so it doesn't even shift from the connection of the caster to the leg. If you don't want wheels, you should get a C-stand instead.

Q: 4. Anyone know if there is a version of this with a receiver instead at a 90 degree angle as well? Looking for something with similar load capacity and distance from the base.

A: I do not believe there is an option for a baby plate that is angled with a 5/8-inch receiver. One options is to use a 5/8 female to 5/8 female adapter like one of these, https://bhpho.to/3vmtsD9 .

Q: 5. How much is the load capacity?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list a load capacity for this product. While it is a very sturdy product, how well it will hold depends on the application.

Q: 6. Does anybody know the closed length of this stand? Many thanks

A: The folded length of this stand (PN:B366168) is 49.5".

Q: 7. What is the max payload for this clamp?

A: 25lbs is the max payload for the Matthews Baby Grid Clamp.

Q: 8. Can someone tell me if this is the black version of the boom?

A: The Matthews Baby Boom BH #MABBM is a chrome steel boom.

Q: 9. Hi B&H, is there a hook on the end to hang a counterweight? HNY!

A: No, I use a rachet strap and anchor it to the bottom of the combo. Quick, easy, and one less sandbag to carry around.

Q: 10. What size bolts / screws are needed to mount into wall?

A: The holes in the plate measure out at around .25 inches. I have never used screws. I use gaffer tape to mount it on walls.

[Steel] Awesome ... I use the F301 Baby wall plate mounted on 28 inch round piece pres board and attach the F301 Baby wall plate to a heavy load extra tripod 35lbs. max with the E300 5/8 Stud 1/4-20 thread... That way when shooting macro photography I am able to turn the table (as the bug wakes away) or what every angle needed for the subject to be photographed

[Steel] I needed a small table upon which to place a feeder to attract hummingbirds. The Baby Wall Plate and a light stand satisfied that need perfectly. I screwed a 12 x 12 board to the plate, inverted the plate and attached it to a standard light-stand. I can adjust the height as needed.
