The black, Canon EF-M-mount Rokinon 8mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for Canon EF-Mis a prime fisheye lens specifically designed for APS-C sized image sensors. Providing a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 12.8mm and full 180° angle of view, this lens is well-suited for creative applications as well as interior and architectural subjects. Its fast f/2.8 maximum aperture is further beneficial to working in low-light conditions.

Three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements have been incorporated into the optical design to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion in order to produce sharper images. Additionally, the lens' design features a built-in lens hood and a UMC coating has been applied to the lens elements to reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting for improved light transmission and more contrast-rich imagery.

180° fisheye lens provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 12.8mm, making it ideally suited for interior and architectural subjects.

Fast f/2.8 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions.

Three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements reduce chromatic aberrations and distortions in order to produce sharper images.

UMC coating improves light transmission and suppresses lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich, color-neutral images.

Built-in lens hood also helps to reduce lens flare and surface reflections.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the focal length for bmpcc4k?

A: bmpcc4k is not Canon EOS mount so you will need an adapter. With the right adapter the focal length will be 16mm full frame equivalent. That is because the crop factor for that camera is about 2x.

Q: 2. whats the difference between this version and the one with out the chip since both focus manually?

A: Lens with chip will give you the opportunity to see focus confirmation in viewfinder during manual focusing

Q: 3. I am confused by answers to will this create full circular images . SOME SAYS YES AND OTHERS SAY NO ! What is the answer ?

A: That depends upon the camera sensor size. If your camera has a full frame sensor the lens should produce a circular image. On an APS-C sensor the image will fill the frame with no vignetting.

Q: 4. Is The 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Canon EF from Rokinon fit for canon eos 250 D camra ?

A: Hi--yes, this lens is compatible with the Canon 250D.

Q: 5. is there a difference in image quality vs the 2.8 8mm fisheye?

A: Rokinon 8mm F2.8 Fisheye lenses are designed for mirrorless cameras, they are actually a different kind of lens then this one. They should however offer very similar quality because they are both made from Rokinon, but they are different lenses.

Q: 6. I have a Nikon 50mm f1.2 which is fully manual (no chip whatsoever). However, I am still able to use the focus confirmation green dot in my Nikon D5500. What is the advantage of the confirmation ship in this case? Is that the D5500 features focus confirm build in? Thank you.

A: Daniel. I don't really know about the confirm chip in the 8mm lens. Like your camera my confirm light works with all my manual lenses.Sorry I can't answer your question as I really don't what the advantage is. I do love the lens. Good shooting

Q: 7. Will this lens work on my D5100

A: Yes it should since the D5100 is a f mount body:The Nikon D5100 is a 16.2-megapixel DX-format DSLR F-mount camera announced by Nikon on April 5, 2011. It features the same 16.2-megapixel CMOS sensor as the D7000 with 14-bit resolution, while delivering Full HD 1080p video mode at either 24, 25 or 30fps.Nikon D5100 - Wikipedia

Q: 8. Will this fit a niknon d3200

A: Yes it will fit, but this is a all manual lens. Further see in your Nikon D3200 menus whether there is something call non-cpu lens if yes you can program this lens.

Q: 9. Hi. Will this lens be compatible with canon rebel xti? Thanks.

A: Yes, the Rokinon 8mm Ultra Wide Angle f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Canon EF Mount would be compatible for use with the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi DSLR camera. The aperture and the focus ring of the lens would have to be controlled fully manually when used on the Canon XTi DSLR camera.

Q: 10. So is this lens supposed to be used with full frame cameras? will it still work with a fixed Canon 60D?

A: If this is the one I bought the answer is no. I believe the 2.8 will only work with the full frame.I was wanting that one,but found out it wouldn't work on my 7d mark ll

[f/22] The Rokinon 8mm Fisheye Lens for Nikon F mount is a great, lightweight lens at an amazing price. It attaches smoothly to my Nikon D7100 and is fun as well as an enhancement tool for dramatic, creative landscapes.

[Manual Focus] This lens takes great pictures.I took some pictures with this lens and my Sigma 10-20mm lens and the rokinons pictures were just as good. The only problem with the lens is that the chip is great on short distances but long distances does work as good. This is not a problem for long shots since DOF is nearly unlimited.

[Canon EF-M] Very good price for the lens on a budget. Manual focus is ok , set F stop 16 and everything will be in focus. Will not work on a full frame body...

[f/22] Used my new 8mm f/ 3.5 lense on my Canon 90D , Crop sensor camera. Very crisp photos with excellent curvature! This lens provides a unique perspective to say the least. Can't wait to use this lense at the Grand Canyon in May 2022.

[f/2.8] Awesome Lens. It is really no big deal, but with my Nikon D5100 I will have to set the F-stop and the exposure manualy. A couple test shots to dial in the settings and the lens produces stunning pictures. Over all I am very happy with this lens, and taking care of the manual settings is no big deal!

[Manual Focus] I use mainly use this lens on FX, (D800), and it's really quite remarkable. The resolution is easily as good as anything from the Nikon recommended for D800 list. The lens feels very solid, smooth and robust - not much to go wrong. As mentioned elsewhere, on FX you get to see lots of lens shade in the image, so I'd recommend using the manual DX crop setting, which saves manual cropping later on. You do lose some of the image, so if you need every degree of fisheye goodness, stay in FX and crop manually. Can't quite bring myself to chop off the petals, but that would buy you meaningfully more wide-angleness. Depth of field is so great that if you're on f8 and go hyperfocal, there's little likelyhood of every seeing anything out of focus. Bokeh? Probably okay, but who knows or cares. This lens is so fisheye, there's a substantial gap between it and my next widest, the Nikkor 16-35. Something about 12mm in a non-fisheye would be great, but it won't come for anything like the price of this beauty.
