Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What's the eyepiece diameter of this scope?

A: The diameter is 2.216" in diameter.

Q: 2. Can I put the proctective filter in the front? If yes, what filter diameter size? Thx

A: The Celestron TrailSeeker 100 22-67x100 has no filters. If you are referring to the objective lens cap that comes with the scope. That would slip over and cover the objective. Which is 100mm.

Q: 3. Are there adapters for digiscoping w/ a Nikon DSLR (D750, perhaps)?

A: Yes you will need a T Mount for your camera for digiscoping. This is the B&H part number for the T ring for your camera, B&H#KOTMN. When you get the T ring home before you can start digiscoping. You will need to take the lens off your camera and screw the T ring in it's place. The only other thing you will need is an adapter for the telescope you are using. The adapter will depend on the telescope you have. After you get the correct adapter attach it to the telescope and screw the camera onto the adapter. Then start shooting.

Q: 4. Which full size tripod rubberized tripod would you recommend for this sporting telescope, which does equipped with the right mechanical adapter?

A: The Barska Pro tripod BH# BAPTE66CC.

Q: 5. Is this New?

A: This is a brand new, unopened product. All products purchased at B&H are brand new in the original factory box including packaging, all factory included accessories and factory warranty, unless otherwise stated to be USED, Refurbished or Demo.

Q: 6. Will this accept a Celestron T-ring for my Cannon Rebel?

A: You still need the Celestron SLR (35mm OR Digital) Camera Adapter for All Refractor and Reflector Telescopes which Accept 1.25" Eyepieces - Requires Camera-Specific T-Mount Adapter BH #CETA1.25 • MFR #93625 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/202135-REG/Celestron_93625_SLR_35mm_OR_Digital.html To attach to the scope. The T-ring will now screw with this adapter

Q: 7. The eyepiece is removable, is there an additional function for this? Can we attach dslr with tring? What is the mag without the eyepiece?

A: The eyepiece is removable. Turn the eyepiece holder ring counterclockwise and pull the eyepiece out. I believe you will need a special adapter that would fit in the eyepiece slot since there are no threads to attach the T ring directly. The magnification would depend on the size of you camera's sensor.

Q: 8. What year is this scope? What phone skope works with this model?

A: It was first released in 2018 and they have not release a newer version as of yet.

Q: 9. Does scope come with a tripod?

A: Yes! It's a short- 12 inch maybe tripod. I set my scope on a table by the window to view boats on the water 1-1.5 miles away!

Q: 10. the Tripod Mounting Thread on this scope is too small for the screws on either one of my tripods (Gitzo and RRS). What's the best solution? I'm not going to buy another tripod.

A: This scope ha a universal screw hole of 1/4"-20 which most tripod heads have. Tripod legs or columns have a 3/8"-16 stud to mount a tripod head. If you need a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter, Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1 Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1

[Neorene] I use this little cap to cover my 18-250 Sigma lens on walkabouts. It pops on and off in a jiff, with no need to fiddle and fumble with the lens cap. In fact, I tend to keep it on my D7000 with the 18-250 at all times with the lens hood in place and ready to shoot.

[Neorene] I bought the small black LensCoat Hoodie for my Olympus 300mm pro lens and it works like a charm. I attached the hoodie to the lens with a string so it is always handy. When I am crashing through the bush I can quickly slip on the LensCoat and know that my lens is protected from stray branches. In the past I carried my lens cap for this purpose but it was hard to put in place and I couldn't immediately tell if the lens cap was on or off or worse I sometimes couldn't find the pocket containing the lens cap. Now I just look down at my lens hood and know my lens is protected by the LensCoat Hoodie. Perfect.

[Neorene] I love it! The scope is easy to use and quick to focus. The carrying case is fab! Don't even have to take it off to use the scope when on your trip-pod. It's light and easy to carry and very clear!

[Neorene] I much prefer these hoods over the plastic caps that come with a lens.

[Neorene] Fits perfectly on Voigtlander Nokton 10.5mm f/0.95 Lens for Miticro Four Thirds and it solved eternal loose fit problem of plastic lens cover that came off all the time

[Neorene] Great hood cover for the price. The cap portion has a stiff (removable) disc to give it more structure which is a great improvement over similar neoprene covers that don't have any structure as it provides additional protection if something hits or rests against the front of the cover. Although, it is meant to be able to be used without a lens cap, I would still recommend a lens cap if you want to avoid getting more dust on the lens. Dust can still get on your lens easily while removing/installing the cover and while it is covered.

[Neorene] I really like these instead of using a lens cap. My wide angle has a built in hood so the lens cap is actually two parts - it is a pain to get on and off. These are easy and they stay put plus adds some bump protection for the end of the lens too. Cost a tad more than a cap.

[Neorene] The TrailSeeker 80 offers great performance at a value price. I bought it for my wife. We have a small pond outside our backyard and the scope gives great clarity to the waterfowl who inhabit the wetlands. I plan on building a digiscope adaptor which will allow us to easily record videos and pictures.

I spent a lot of time researching the options, and am very satisfied with this purchase. Yes, you can do better, but nothing in the price range comes close. Given the price and ease of setup, this is the perfect package for the price. It's relatively portable and should provide years of service.

[Neorene] Once the lens is on my camera, I leave the hood on and use this as my lens cap. Best and easiest way to work.
