Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Has anyone used this to carry a camera and a few lenses but also as luggage to carry clothes/accessories for a 3 or 4 day trip?

A: The Think Tank Photo Airport Security V3.0 Carry On would be ideal to carry camera equipment and clothing on a trip.

Q: 2. Can the iPad Pro 12.9" fit into the tablet slot?

A: No, its too small for a 12.9" ipad but it can fit in the laptop slot.

Q: 3. Is this bag thick enough to fit a Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 vertically?

A: I have the Nikon 70-200 Version 2 and it does NOT fit vertically in this bag. The length with the front and rear lens caps measures approx. 9 long. The depth of the bag is about 8 . I store it horizontally. There's plenty of room in this bag for lots of lenses and bodies. I generally carry at least 2 bodies, a 600mm without the hood(I use a collapsible hood), 200-500, 24-120, 300, flash and other assorted equipment.

Q: 4. Can this hold a Nikon z9 attached to a z 800mm f6.3 VR S?

A: No the Think Tank Photo Airport International V3.0 Carry On (Black) is not tall enough. The z9 wiht the lens attaches is approxemelty 19 inches. And the case interior is 18.5 inches.

Q: 5. Can this hold Nikon 600mm F4 FL lens

A: Yes this will fit the Nikon 600mm F/4 FL lens.

Q: 6. Can a ad300 pro fit vertically

A: Yes, the Godox AD300 does fit vertically in the Think Tank Airport Security v3.0

Q: 7. Curious about the 400 f2.8. How well will it fit with two large bodies and several other lenses? Thanks.

A: Its not ideal for a 400mm....especially with lens hood if you want all the other stuff. 300mm 2.8 no problem. I love the bag, as it can fit easily on any plane. I can fit several 1dxmk2 bodies and multiple lenses. I have a 200-400mm f4, and find best way to travel with everything is the big glass in either a glass taxi and laptop in roller, or a bigger backpack to carry big lens and laptop in that with everything else in roller.

Q: 8. Does this bag have a way to hold a monopod or tripod?

A: Yes it has Side Pockets for Tripod & Water Bottle

Q: 9. would a broken down canon c200 fit in this?

A: Broken down gear will fit the same as gear in good condition!

Q: 10. Does this version have shoulder straps?

A: No, it does not. The Think Tank Photo Airport Security V3.0 Carry On (B&H # THAPSECV3) has top and side padded grab handles, retractable trolley handle, and wheels for carrying/transport needs. If you need a rolling Think Tank case that also has shoulder straps for backpack usage needs, I would recommend either the Think Tank Photo Airport TakeOff V2.0 Rolling Camera Bag (Black), B&H # THATV2RBP, or the Think Tank Photo StreetWalker Rolling Backpack V2.0 (Black), B&H # THSWRBPV20, as good options for your usage needs.

[Zipper] This is my go-to bag for weekend trips. It is a joy to use and can fit a surprising amount of stuff, without losing its shape or looking awkward. I use this bag with the Peak Design Packing Cubes and it actually makes you look forward to packing.

Fits perfectly in an overhead bin on flights. Well-made, intelligent design. I love this bag.

[Zipper] The duffel part of this bag is exactly what a duffle should be - a huge cavity that pretty much stays open when packing or unpacking it. The other parts are just ingenious and handy. Places to stash stuff and keep it in some order. Suitably resistant to rain and so forth. I appreciate being able to customize the carry - strap repositioning is brilliant.

[Yes] If you put the camera case in the bag when carrying the camera, the part will become bigger and lose its compactness.
I don't really like the appearance that spreads out sideways, but I'm generally satisfied.

[Undyed White] A duffel bag that is not just pleasing to the eye but timeless. It is tough and takes rough handling well. At the same time, it is highly accommodative, and versatile to how you want to carry and pack it. It is a slick multitasker.

[Yes] I recently got this bag and immediately found it easy to pack with a clothes and camera gear. It will be great as a carryon when traveling light in Alaska this year.

[Zipper] I've been looking for a good versatile bag that has decent storage space while having enough compartments to carry smaller items. After going through a number of cheap duffels to backpacks made to maximize airline carry-on space, I decided to take the plunge and try a Peak Design. It's been great for over-nights, weekend trips, and other times I require a slightly larger bag. Ergonomics are clearly superior to other duffel bags, especially with the different shoulder strap position. Having a multitude of side pockets both outside and inside the main compartment makes it easy to access smaller items without requiring extra organization bags. Overall a solid stand-alone storage system (I'm sure it'll be even better with Peak Design's accessories).
One advertised method of carrying that I am disappointed by is the use of carrying straps as a backpack. The straps are a tad short and there is no adjustments for said straps, making for an uncomfortable experience as a backpack. It would be nice if this bag had optional straps that could turn this duffel into an actual backpack. Despite my experience, it is a small con for all the other great ways to carry this duffel.

[Yes] This is the most versatile duffel I have ever purchased. I use it for weekend trips, week/long trips, and for the gym. Great value for the price, in my opinion. Peak Design always packs a huge amount of fantastic features into its products and this one maintains a beautiful aesthetic throughout use. Highly recommend.
