Protect your broadcast from careless trash-talk with the BD600W+ from Eventide, an easy-to-use digital profanity delay with WheatNet IP connectivity that offers an exceptional 80 seconds of high-quality revenue and license-protecting delay designed to provide a seamless experience for listeners.

The delay buffer length can be customized from four to 80 seconds. Dump can be customized in half-second increments up to 10 seconds. Each time the dump button is pressed, only one segment is deleted. For example, if a unit is set to the full 80 seconds of delay buffer, and is set up to provide 8-second dumps, you will have ten separate dump segments. Pushing the Dump button the first time cuts out one 8-second segment. You still have 72 seconds of delay protection. If this is followed by more problem comments, push the Dump button again and you still have over a minute of delay protection. The Sneeze button momentarily edits audio entering the delay, allowing the host to sneeze, cough, or make a short comment without being heard on-air—and without dead air.

  • For stations upgrading to HD, providing a high-quality subsample adjustable delay for synchronizing analog and digital is the holy grail for maintaining a seamless experience for listeners. The MicroPrecision Delay can be adjusted on-air and ramped in and out for clean transitions without audible artifacts.
  • The BD600W+ adds more delay protection, improves fidelity, and expands remote options while maintaining the user interface and yellow Dump button familiar to all radio engineers. It is the culmination of thirty years of designing and manufacturing highly reliable delays for broadcast. Featuring 80 seconds of delay, 24-bit digital and analog I/O, plus a host of new features, the BD600W+ sets a new standard for protection
  • If 80 seconds of delay protection were not enough, the BD600W+ has a secondary backup called Panic. This plays a WAV file stored on a compact flash card. While the file—a jingle, ID, or another message—is played, delay is being built up in real-time, allowing programming to continue in safety as soon as the jingle is over. This can also be used for painless entry into delay.

  • The BD600W+ features built-in WheatNet-IP connectivity and extended remote capability by conveniently streaming 24-bit audio and control data over the WheatNet-IP network for easy integration with new or existing WheatNet-IP broadcast networks.
  • The BD600W+ in conjunction with the WheatNet-IP network is fully compatible with the AES67 standard for AoIP.

  • Microprecision delay mode for HD synchronization
  • 80 seconds of delay protection
  • USB remote control
  • WheatNet-IP connectivity
  • Panic allows WAV file play back during delay rebuild
  • 24-bit AES/EBU digital I/O, with wordclock sync
  • 24-bit analog XLR I/O
  • User-defined Dump length segmentation
  • Sneeze button for momentary edit
  • RS-232 I/O
  • Network remote capabilities offer 16 assignable inputs and outputs

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this teleprompter work with a bigger camera like my Panasonic AG-AC160A?

A: I returned this product the hard case on the back created a reflection thru the glass ... too hard to read. Look at the peoples prompter for Ipad

Q: 2. What type of battery setup is required for remote field use?

A: This product uses a standard AC Power supply. You could look at something like the GOAL ZERO Yeti 400 Portable Power Station to operate it in the field, BH #GOGZ23000. https://bhpho.to/2TRzfjl

Q: 3. could this be used on a motorized slider?

A: Yes it would. As long as the slider will support the weight of both the camera and the Telmax PRO-IP-EX Universal Tablet & Smartphone Teleprompter. It mounts on normal tripod heads that you would use on sliders for mounting cameras.

Q: 4. Will this model handle the new iPad model coming in at 12.9-inch and / or the new 9.7-inch model? What is the largest size tablet can this handle...dimensions please? Is the angle position of the glass hood adjustable?

A: Accroding to Telmax, the PRO-IP-XLP is best suited for the iPad Pro. The angle of the hod is not adjustable.

Q: 5. my camera has a square piece on the end, that I don't know how to take off. This teleprompter says that it has a 4 inch round hole for the camera. Does it stretch over the square piece? My camera looks like it has a 4 inch lens, but it has that square piece on the end of it.

A: The square end of your camera is probably the lens sunshade. Normally they counter clock-wise twist off. The 4 round hole will accommodate most any camera. The black nylon adapter can also accommodate most any camera that could use this teleprompter. If you wish further confirmation, please email us. provideo@bhphoto.com.

Q: 6. Would two people sitting at a news desk be able to read the screen?

A: That would depend on how far away the people are, but two people at a desk should be able to read from one Telmax PRO-IP-EX Universal Tablet & Smartphone Teleprompter.

Q: 7. My camera, a Sony A6600 is able to pick up reflections on the glass. Is there a way to reduce reflections?

A: You would need to ensure that the area surrounding your camera's lens is properly shielded from light.

Q: 8. We have three cameras and I would like to have a prompter on all three but run the same script on all three of them. Will this sync to one ipad?

A: According to Telmax, you need their Galaxy products which come with their Zprompt software. This software can create a master feed to drive several displays. However, that software only works on Mac or Windows computers, not iPad's or tablets. The total cost may be lower in the end by not needing additional iPad's.Please see the following link for the Galaxy products available here at B&H.http://bhpho.to/1bNuYVD

Q: 9. how do i get to scroll up and down on my scrips?

A: Functionality will depend on which app is downloaded from the Apple Store as there are a multitude of apps that can be downloaded onto your iPad that are compatible with this teleprompting system.

[40 W] Alright I'm a Korg fan. Have the Monotron Duo, which is awesome especially since you can play it in tune, but the Delay is extra amazing. It is way more versatile than any youtube video would lead you to believe...just subtle alterations of the knobs open gateways to truely otherworldly sounds. Think 50s science fiction movies. I use a Nintendo DS stylus on the ribbon controller, works better than fingers. Excellent machine at an unbeatable price for making burbling, crazy noises to compliment your tracks. Pure fun.

[40 W] For those interested in small and portable synth setups, there isn't much when it comes to battery operated delay units. This is where the Monotron Delay comes in. The internal synth isn't bad and good for noodling around, but once you route a TE Pocket Operator (or any battery powered synth for that matter) through the audio in and delay, you'll see why this little machine is great for small/portable setups. Sure the delay is lo-fi, and maybe this machine could be about $15-20 less for the build quality, but still worth it.

[40 W] Consider the monotron delay a dynamite toy for grown folks. It's function is not necessarily musical and I don't use it directly in my musical pursuits, but it provides an abstract function that feeds my music in the intangible. As a tool for meditation it is far out indeed.

[40 W] The sound is very clear. No coloring. This is by far the best delay I've had and the others I've owned don't macth on any point... (Ibanez AD-9, Boss DD-7) It's a bit expensive but worth it. It's simple to use, very nice and offers a lot for the money. The sound is absolutely incredible. The USB port offers the capability of upgrading the presets and firmware. This pedal evolves so it doesn't get outdated. Eventide have a nive web support and pdf files and programs. You can organize the presets with a free application on their site. So many features - impossible to list.

[40 W] This is the best effects pedal I've ever had. What struck me immediately was the rich full and low noise sound it produces. The iPad Bluetooth interface is great. I think the best thing to do is check out the Youtube demos to see if this is something you want. It performs all its functions perfectly. If sound quality and low noise are important to you this pedal will not disappoint. The price is worth it IMHO when not only is it so many different effects in one, but that they actually sound better than individual purpose built pedals. The only downside is that you will probably be up late at night having fun experimenting with it a lot, and will want to get a second one - I ended up getting an Eventide Eclipse to go with it.
