A: I do not believe you could without first removing the hooded eye cup and placing the cap over it. I have placed a small dark piece of cloth over and somewhat in mine eyepiece to cut down on the light but not totally close the view finder off. I had also received an idea from some one of placing a piece of dark foam as plumbing pipe foam in the eyecup, but I have never tried that. I usually just place a piece of cloth over it and somewhat inside of the eyecup being careful not to disturb the camera and tripod during the exposure. Hope this helps.
