  • Analytics+ by camera: AcuPick, Face Detection, Face Detection+, Perimeter Protection, SMD+, Video Metadata, ANPR, People Counting

Dahua effectively utilizes both front-end and back-end intelligence to realize AcuPick. AcuPick technology is a true video search engine that can quickly locate the information you need. Use it to find a lost individual, locate a specific vehicle, or pinpoint evidence of a suspect who's damaged another's property.

Dahua Analytics+ includes Tripwire and Intrusion functions that offer custom tripwires based on object type for automation in limited access areas. Perimeter Protection requires fewer pixels to detect an object to deliver improved accuracy and decreased false alarms due to lights, weather, trees, or animals.

Face Detection+ technology identifies, tracks, and captures a human face in a digital image and then selects the best image and outputs a snapshot of the face. This technology identifies key facial features and obtains the contours of detected faces.

Smart Motion Detection, a component of Dahua's Analytics+ technology, improves alarm accuracy and decreases the number of false alarms. The advanced SMD algorithm analyzes a scene for human or vehicle motion, while filtering out other motion due to trees, leaves, animals, weather, and triggers an alarm when detected. SMD also saves time when searching recorded video by filtering false alarms and allowing quick retrieval of an alarm due to a person or vehicle.

With deep learning algorithm, Dahua Image Attribute Extraction technology can detect, track, capture vehicle, non-motor vehicle, and people, and select the best images, and extract attributes.

The built-in IVS features people counting and heat map functionality, advanced features that add business intelligence to your security system. Intelligent Analysis tracks and stores daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly people flow through a defined scene and produces a configurable report. The system uses this data to produce a Heat Map, a two-dimensional representation of data that provides an immediate visual summary of activity. People Counting and Heat Maps can identify the most active areas of a retail space, providing valuable data analysis for commercial applications.

The NVR automatically captures and stores vehicle license plate images from a dedicated license plate capture camera connected to the NVR. During playback, an operator can perform a license plate search by Time and Date to view thumbnail images of all plates captured during the specified time period. License plate capture technology offers effective entrance/exit management, traffic surveillance, and parking lot monitoring.

[Yes] I have had 3 different NVRs. The other ones were from Geovision. Their first NVR worked well for about 6 years. The second one was thrown in the trash. The ENR-020P was relatively easy to configure, including the interface to other vendor's cameras. I had to play around with the encoding settings a little but this thing works. I like the UI. Keep in mind that I can't comment on reliability as I have only had it for a month or so - but I now have all my cameras displaying - which sometimes is a major problem if you have cameras from multiple vendors.

[Fan] I have several - they work great. Easy to setup and maintenance is a snap. Fans are a little loud. The only complaint I have is they won't work with my new ANPR cameras.

[Yes] I've accumulated different cameras from different manufacturers for years assuming they would be easy to install on IP NVRs and for the most part, they were until I got some newer 4K cameras and then it became a chore. Three different NVR's later I find one that works with all my cameras. The only real hassle, if I can call it that, was to have to go to the router as I hooked up each camera to see what address it was set to. Once I got it to recognize the cameras, the included software made it easy to get them all working. I have a simple 5 camera, 24hr recorded, home setup without all the motion detection or other options set, so it was pretty easy to get up and running. It works.

[2 RU] The best NVR for the Chanel to use, the bandwidth is decent and need more power. But is really good. Use 24 Hard Drive of 10 slot, depending how long record you need a the balance of each camera.
I recommend this NVR for any occasion you may need, have the storage, the feed online is very fast.

[1x eSATA] I bought this as part of the Dahua N488L64A system that comes with six 4k cameras. Take a look at my review of that system for more details.

This NVR supports Dahua's IVS, just make sure your cameras also support IVS.

Also, when shopping for an NVR pay attention to the Decoding Resolution spec. This tells you how many channels the NVR can support at certain camera resolutions and frame rates.

[26.415 lb] I installed it a couple of days ago. It was easy to setup and for the most part everything works the same as other Hikvision NVRs. The description says that is supports 16TB drives. I took a chance and got 22TB WD purple drives. They were detected as 20TB which indicates that 20 may be the limit, at least with the current firmware. So far I installed 8 drives into a RAID 5 array.

[Internal] don't expect customer service from the manufacture Honeywell, they don't know what that is. But B&H Does! with B&H help updating the NVR firmware = easy set up, I'm using another manufacture ONIF IP cameras. the android app works great for remote viewing. very easy camera manipulation with provided mouse.
